Since 2003 Comfort Keepers has cared for older adults throughout Bloomfield CT and Manchester CT and surrounding communities including Avon, Canton, Bloomfield, East Hartford, East Granby, Farmington, Glastonbury, Granby, Manchester, Simsbury, South Windsor, Vernon, West Hartford, Windsor, Wethersfield, and more.
Our Comfort Keepers office in Bloomfield CT opened in 2003 and is a locally owned and operated franchise of the Comfort Keepers nationwide network.
Comfort Keepers provides assistance with the activities of daily living such as companionship, homemaking, personal care and transportation, helping to "Keep" our clients in the "Comfort" of their homes.
Comfort Keepers is registered with the CT Dept. of Consumer Protection as a Homemaker Companion Agency #HCA.0000.563, as is required of all business providing non-medical, in-home care in Connecticut.
Comfort Keepers is an employment model, non-medical home care agency. Our caregivers are bonded and insured under worker's compensation and general liability insurance when they are working with our clients.
Comfort Keepers verifies all of our employee caregivers are legally eligible to work in the U.S. Comfort Keepers office management coordinates payroll utilizing a professional payroll service, with all applicable taxes paid for our employees.
Comfort Keepers services are flexible, based on the needs of each individual client including the care, schedule and caregiver needed, ranging from the minimum of 2 hours per visit per client to live-in or 24/7 care.
Comfort Keepers employee caregivers are supervised by the Client Care Coordinator/Nurse. The Client Care Coordinator/Nurse participates in the assessment process, helps to develop the written plan of care and communicates with clients and families. Caregivers are given an in-home orientation when beginning each new assignment to help them meet the client's needs and understand the written plan of care.
To begin services, Comfort Keepers requires a home visit and client assessment, a signed Client Care Agreement, Plan of Care and a 2 week, refundable deposit.
Caregivers use both written time sheets and a telephone time clock to document their time worked in the home. Invoices are mailed weekly and are due on receipt.
Comfort Keepers answers our main telephone 24/7 at 860-242-7739. Our office is located at 116 Cottage Grove Road Suite 205, Bloomfield CT.
Employment Applications are available in our office Monday through Friday between the hours of 9AM and 3PM ONLY. Comfort Keepers strict hiring process begins with a written application and includes interviews, employment verification, background checks, and paid orientation and on-line education courses.
