Commonwealth Home Health Care Salem, VA - I had called CHHC and received excellent service, without even being a patient. Every question I had was answered, which took more than just a few minutes. However, this company ended up not being in my insurance plan's "providers" list even after many requests for them to add this company. I have changed employers and insurance plans. I was very happy to see that CHHC was in their provider list. I am a very happy customer, because I deal directly with humans, not with endless interactive-voice-response menus, and suffering communication issues with call center workers. I don't have billing problems because I have automatic payments set up. So when monthly supply orders are confirmed and shipped, insurance is billed, and my copay is determined, my account is then billed accordingly. I can review my account status via their web site. I chose to use text messaging as my method of ordering, and have been satisfied.
The right place for your medical needs everything you can think of and if it’s not available the helpful and very nice team. There will try to help you and do the rest, reasonable prices, wheelchairs, C-CAP machines, and most of the things that you need.
For the first year everything was ok but had some issues later. When u pay at the Salem store it take a week before Danville headquartered get the money. I stop doing business with them because. I pay $10.00 and my insurance pay $5 for a chin Guard in Salem. A month late I was bill $13 for the chin guard. Call about the bill in Danville, boy I got the run around. I was told they will garnish my wages if I didn’t pay in a few days. I sent them a copy of my receipt were I pay cash for the chin guard. But Commonwealth told me that I have a bill going back a year ago and email me a bill with the wrong dates of order my supply’s. They said The $13 was for a old bill last year so added the bill on my purchase of the chin guard. I had no choice but to pay an move on. They are other customers got the screw also. Beware keep your receipts if u had to go to court.
Doctor sent order to Commonwealth over 4 months ago regarding CPAP needs. Have contacted to get an update and was told they are just behind. If that is the case it would be nice if they would contact you every few months. They would not even check my information to confirm anything.
We were from out of town and left my mother's adapters for her oxygen at home. These guys were the only ones open on a Saturday morning and they were the most kind and helpful group I've talked to much better than those in Louisville. Thanks to them and their service we was able to get the adapters and have my mother's oxygen up and running in just an hour or so I recommend them to anyone thank you for everything
I had a problem with a shower chair I purchased and took it back for assistance. These people handled my problem and treated me like I was the Queen of America! So kind and professional. They really care about your safety and will do everything to make sure you get what you paid for! Please go there for top of the line products AND SERVICE.
They sell the CPAP machine that I was told to use but they don’t have the replacement seals for the mask. Told me they had never carried the kind they gave me initially. Find somewhere else that is more responsive and helpful.
When I did my sleep study I had to give a facility name in case a CPAP was needed. I had trouble choosing because there are so many negative reviews. I ended up choosing Commonwealth because there were some positive reviews. I had an appointment prearranged and was taken back on time. Shannon was extremely knowledgeable and very professional. She's also been there 3 years. Several reviewers for other facilities complained about different staff each time, etc. I would recommend anyone use Commonwealth for their sleep apnea needs.
Knowlegeable and helpful on all phases of respiratory equipment, and also my sleep doctor's go-to technicians. First rate and latest equipment on hand at their supply store.
Great staff, and well stocked medical supply store! They were quick and thorough about seeing if insurance would cover, and I took care of billing immediately.
