Community Action for Healthy Living is a Non-Profit 501-C3 Coalition located in Kaukauna, WI that promotes healthy lifestyles. We use community education, local and statewide policy, and our member's expertise to reduce the number of people harmed by tobacco. CAHL partners with community organizations, educational institutions, businesses and law enforcement organizations to address tobacco related issues.
Tobacco use is the leading cause of preventable death in the United States. The majority of individuals who smoke daily began smoking prior to 18 years of age. Fortunately, the number of people who currently smoke can be reduced through tobacco education and prevention activities.
We've been sucessful with smoke free air and reducing youth tobacco use by over 20% since 1998. We appreciate our successes but we know our work continues. People are still being exposed to second hand smoke and our youth are still a target of the tobacco industry. A tobacco free future is our ultimate goal - and will continue until we get there.
Currently we serve 5 counties in the state of Wisconsin (Outagamie, Brown, Calumet, Shawano, Waupaca).
