Community Bank of Oak Park River Forest

Be aware that most of these reviews are for Community Bank of Oak Park, a great bank that was recently summer 2019 acquired by Byline, which is NOT a small community bank but a growing amalgamation of banks in two states. My first two interactions with their call center staff as a new customer were not up to the high standards set by the good people at the Lake Street branch. Already I have to navigate a call tree instead of being greeted by a live person. I now have all the headaches of a big bank without any of the conveniences. At least Chase will pay you to open an account with them.

Usually no lines, but when there are, they are small fast paced lines. No one hassling you to use machine instead of teller. No one trying to sell bank products you don't need. Just good people doing their jobs with a smile. The fact that their personnel has low turnover also says something great about this bank.

So impressed with this bank when it comes to servicing small businesses. So personal and candid. Definitely recommend banking here.
