A gem in Wyoming, some amazing art you don't expect to find, plus a nice gift store with local artist's work.
What a pleasant surprise and find! I was taking the Self-Guided Walking Tour of Rock springs when I came across the Community Fine Arts Center. Having been a former Church, I thought I would see crayon drawings and 3D macaroni artworks depicting the Wild West. I was wrong and I am a guy admitting that In a pleasant and well lit space, there were more paintings and artworks then I could have ever imagined. There is a Norman Rockwell and a Grandma Moses as well as other Artists of renown. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I spoke to Deborah, the Director, and was impressed by her familiarity with the collection as well as her knowledge of the town. She directed me to other "things to see" in Rock Springs, making my visit well worth the stop. If you want to be impressed, slightly awed and thoroughly entertained, STOP HERE and spend some time. You'll walk away happy, I did!
Great gallery with a wide selection of pieces. Wife and I would both love too be featured here. It is a little small and is very not toddler friendly. However, it is worth a stop and is a must see!
Amazing collection of art for a small town, including Grandma Moses and Calder. Definitely worth a visit? Even has great local artists.
For our small town, it is nice to have a decent art gallery. I particularly love that it's attached to the library. Art and literature in the same building? Double win!
LOVE THIS PLACE!! They have a Salvador Dali! Great people. Went for an artist meet and greet. Beautiful art
Beautiful facility and quite the triumph for small town, pretty much in the middle of nowhere Wyoming!! Congrats!!
Culture in Why-O-Me aka Wyoming, a breath of fresh air in an otherwise stagnant state. Thank you, truly.
Beautiful exhibitions. Great staff! A must see!
