We work with partners to create Community Food Centres that bring people together to grow, cook, share + advocate for good food.
Community Food Centres Canada provides resources and a proven approach to partner organizations across Canada to create Community Food Centres that bring people together to grow, cook, share, and advocate for good food. CFCC also works with the broader food movement to build greater capacity for impact and to empower communities to work toward a healthy and fair food system.
There are eight Community Food Centres currently open or in development across Canada: The Stop Community Food Centre (Toronto, ON), The Table Community Food Centre (Perth, ON), The Local Community Food Centre (Stratford, ON), Regent Park Community Food Centre (Toronto, ON), NorWest Co-op Community Food Centre (Winnipeg, MB), Dartmouth North Community Food Centre (Dartmouth, NS), The Alex Community Food Centre (Calgary, AB), and Hamilton Community Food Centre (Hamilton, ON).
We build health, belonging and social justice in low-income communities across Canada through the power of food.
Our vision is a Canada where food is treated as a basic right, central to health and everyone has the means, knowledge, and voice necessary to access good food with dignity.
