Went in for a simple colonoscopy and the doctor botched the procedure. Sent me home with a dime sized hole in me. Went back that night with severe abdominal pain. They found nothing and sent me back home. Went back in the next day and I died on the table from the toxins floating in my system. Luckily the surgery team resuscitated me. They removed a good appendix just to be safe. In the first room I had I felt that my life was in danger. Incompetent and uncaring staff. I did have some good people later take care of me. Watch out when you go there.
Went there just over a week ago with chest pain and shortness of breath. Was triaged and taken back immediately. They were drawing blood, setting up and getting my first EKG and were giving me a CT scan within 15 minutes of arrival. All the staff listened to me and were very receptive to what I told them. Very impressed by the professionalism and sense of urgency shown by the staff. Would definitely recommend!!
I went last night due to Logansport Memorial Hospital ER failing to help me or give me any answers, other than a negative Covid test. The nurses were fabulous and very attentive to my concerns. The X-Ray techs made me laugh and were very kind and fast. The doctor I had also was very attentive to my needs and explained everything that was going on. He even checked on my baby due to my current pregnancy. I felt taken care of. I will go back if needed. Thank you to all the staff for helping me last night! I really have been struggling.
Please make sure you take the right insurance. It's an awful experience trying to tell Medical Associations or whoever is trying to rob me that my incident was workman compensated. Thanks.
This hospital doesn't give a d**n. Especially about mental health. Your truly better off consulting an AM radio stations late night call in therapy show...patient profiling methods? TOP NOTCH!! Doesn't matter how severe your condition really is, they won't believe you, and will leave you in the ER waiting room for 3+ hours. I'm assuming so the check-in staff can give you judgmental looks from afar...
I went to the Er on Thursday Aug 19th 2021 ,I told them I was pretty positive I was having a Diverticulitus flare up.They were busy and I waited for at least an hour before I was taken to a room. When there a Np named Alhana not sure of spelling came in. I told her I was 100 percent positive I was having a Diverticulitus flare up,as I have had several. She left and the nurse came in named Aj. I told her same thing. She then proceeds to do a ecg on me..Saying it is precaution. Then a urine sample and they drew blood. THE gave me Zofran cuz I was nauseous. An a bag of fluids just because I guess. Then she came back told me all tests were normal and sent me home.Im like how is this checking for diverticulitus and she just looked at me like I was crazy. Most hospitals would have ordered a CT scan but not these guys. And also if it ruptures u can die from septic poisoning but I guess they don't know this there. And I never seen the Er Dr either. Thank goodness I found antibiotics in cabinet and started taken them.
This is literally the worst hospital I have been to. I do not leave reviews or complain, however, you all need to know this information and so does the hospital! Went in because I could not feel the entire left side of my body at all. I had no pain or temperature sensation and sever pain in upper neck on the right side. They took blood samples and took an MRI of my brain and the Doctor came back and said we found nothing and that the left sided numbness is unexplainable and your neck pain may be a muscle spasm... they sent me home from the ER with nothing but that information. I go to a different hospital the very next day to their ER with the same symptoms and turns out I had Multiple Sclerosis and they found lesions in the brain. If I never got a second opinion I would more than likely be paralyzed and suffer more sever symptoms of MS if not treated in time. The staff at this hospital is warm welcoming and nice however, this is a huge misdiagnosis that should never happen to anyone and could have been way worse if I did not go somewhere else the next day. I advise to go somewhere else if you can.
The worst emergency room experience ever. I arrived around 830 am in excruciating pain in my lower back when ever I move. They did a cat scan of my stomach looking for kidney stones but would not do an Mrs of my back to check for herniated discor anything the pain meds I had taken prior did not touch the pain. They gave a shot that did not touch the pain then act like they were put out because I could not walk because I was i so much pain. I had a similar experience about 6 years ago and didnt want to go back there but that is where my husband took me I didn't have a choice. I left 4 hours later in no better position then when I arrived. They acted like I was there for pain Pills and I told them I wasn't they didn't change their attitudes. I can go to pain most and get pain pills because I have a real medical situation that requires it but I dont want too get addicted to them so I have been putting it off. These people were so rude and in the end didn't help me at all.
Went there today, checked in the ER at 4:30pm, by 8 pm I was STILL waiting in the ER lobby and when I told them I was leaving the nurse said, " Well, your only here for nausea that's been lasting 3 weeks, you can wait, but if you don't want to then go to a med check or the other hospital on the west side, but you case isn't as important as other people's with bruises and coughing " I was so offended at her stupor and ignorance. Even if your dying DO NOT GO TO HOWARD. They'll LET YOU DIE in the Lobby.
Having the entrance being the farthest distance from the lab & xray is a joke. People with breathing and walking issues is a pain.
