I had a great experience with the Emergency Department yesterday. I want to give a huge thank you to Dr. k. Stack, nurse Joshua, clerical staff at entry, and the folks in CT, transport, and security. I work for a local hospital, but I chose to Drive the 40 minutes to Community to get treated fora relations of COVID-19. All we high grade professionals, who treated me quickly, respectfully and with compassion. I hope I don't have to go back, but if I do my slogan is take me to Upstate @ Community.
Best Emergency care by far. The wait was quick. They got me back and tests done within a few hours. I loved the ultrasound tech, my nurse, and doctor. They actually listened to my concerns and validated them. I finally got the answers I needed to get surgery for the pain I have had since March. I went to my local ER and primary care multiple times with no answers. Wish I went to Community sooner. Highly recommend.
Absolutely disgusting how they let a 74 yr man who went into ED for possible complications from procedure he had 4 days prior and he sat for 9 hours without being seen. Unless you call vital checks being seen. Then when you ask what's going on you're told someone will be right with and that someone never comes. I get its a trauma center a d teaching hospital but how about teaching better patient compassion and concern.
First, the flunky freshman medical student jammed an IV in my arm and missed my vein. Her professor had to put the IV in my other arm. Then I waited approximately 6 hours with no treatment. Random people kept coming in my room with general placations. Approximately 4 hours in I started waving down random doctors who told me I needed a CT scan and they would order one right away. Two or three hours went by with no CT Scan. When I finally saw my doctor she said my blood work was in but didn't have any physical data such as paperwork. When I asked her for the results she rolled her eyes, looked up at the sky and said I think your blood work showed high levels of inflammation. I understand it's a university hospital and people are still learning however what the heck? I ended up pulling off all my wires and leaving on my own accord. The worst medical experience of my life. Only when I started to leave did the doctors come in acting worried; mind you 6 hours later. Based on my experience if you are very sick you'd get more service at graveyard.
I took my spouse to the ER at the community campus and the staff were extremely caring and professional. It was busy, and they made sure they could make her as comfortable as possible. They efficiently diagnosed her issue and started treatment timely. I honestly dreaded making the trip to the ER, but the experience changed my mindset. I highly recommend their service.
Great experience. Staff is very friendly yet not too detailed. One nurse left drops of blood on the floor from IV for 3 days. Hopefully they clean it up now that we are gone.
If I could give 10 stars I would. Labor and delivery and postpartum care were amazing. The nurses on both sides were angels. My OBGYN just went above and beyond for my newborn and I and we couldn’t be more thankful.
Very kind and caring staff. My husband had surgery on 6-9-23. The staff was all about him that day. Everyone went above and beyond to keep him as comfortable as they could. Ellen was the nurse that stood out the most. She was right there for anything my husband needed even if it was just conversation.
Nice and clean hospital. Went to hematology for iron infusion they were very professional and polite. Ambiance and security was good. Enough parking around hospital and was easy to find this.
When did hospitals stop caring about the people they serve? My son had to have an emergency surgery. The parking garage ticket dispenser wasn't working but they still found a way to charge for parking. Then it was next to impossible to stay with him. I was told that I would have to come back during normal visiting hours. There was another parent there who's child was dying and they were giving her a hard time. I can't imagine being in that situation. Truly heartless individuals running this hospital.
