Community Thrift Store East Dundee

AVOID! I used to swear by this place. I would get good finds at great prices and spent over $5,000 here easily. I stopped in today and was shocked. The prices are highway robbery. $65 for a used Steve Madden Jacket, $10 for a broken mine craft sword, $12 for used Walmart clothes, costumes $10+, and kids clothes super pricey. And the staff… so rude. Won’t spend a dime here ever again. However, the one in Aurora is great, but their prices are passing goodwill too.

This store is so over priced for being a thrift store. I also was sent a text coupon that when I got up to the register the system didn't recognize so I wasn't able to get the 50% off an item. I asked why and was told they couldn't give it to me. I walked out without buying anything after spending over an hour shopping . Wish Village Discount was in business here. Now that was a great thrift store.

I have never been to a more expensive thrift store. The majority of items I looked at today were over $20. I found a bag of maybe 15 dominos? $7. I could buy a new set of dominos with all pieces for that price. The sale going on today made items with a blue tag priced under $18.95 only 99 cents. I thought $18.95 was a high price and figured I’d find a ton of stuff that would go for 99 cents. Of the womens department I found a handful of items. Ended up buying one. Yikes to these prices.

I always love stopping at this thrift store. They have a great selection, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is great. It’s always well organized, and they have a good rotation of items.

This is the most expensive and dirtiest thrift store i’ve ever been to. I attempted to buy a baby blanket that was priced very cheap. The cashier said that’s not the right price she tore off the price tag And threw it in the garbage and put the baby blanket in a bin. When we tried questioning her she said somebody changed the price tag, it happens all the time. The price tags they used are store specific and it looks like you have to use a little gun to put them on. She was very rude

So over priced :/ I could find cheaper things on the clearance isles or in general at TJ Max, Ross etc . I found a dress with the tag from the original store and it was selling for $14 and the thrift shop was selling it for $37! People donate things to help other people but the store just takes advantage and sells it for much higher to take from people that can’t even afford clothes and daily needs. Too expensive. $90 for a used - off brand vest. I should’ve taken pictures. Too expensive. Not worth it . They sell old used items for so much money. Overpriced for sure. What a shame. People go donate to help the community and this stores just takes advantage of it .

Has turned into a museum. A bunch of high priced, damaged goods. That was 4 months ago. Stopped in today, first time in month+. ALL THE BROKEN, OVERPRICED STUFF IS STILL THERE!? A broken Lladro for $150? Lunatics in charge here! Used to buy a bunch. DONE WASTING MY TIME!

I came with my family about an hour before closing, and we are minding our own business when I notice a white male with dreadlocks started following us around. He would pick up random items to get close to us- it wasn’t only us either. He started looking around for this young, maybe in her 20’s, female. As soon as we leave he also walks out although a minute before we do he was checking a fur coat at the front register. I would not recommend coming here at all.

The cashier lady [Maribel] is disrespectful and rude along with the store manager too. Mom and I went and my mom stayed in line for a quick minute while I went to get my daughter a few feet away from us then the cashier lady made us go back to the end of line before we were able to pay. I complained to her manager and the manager didn’t care at all. These people need to learn customer care skills and how to treat customers right. If you’re looking for WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE POSSIBLE, you are at the right place !!!
