I love working with individuals who are motivated to find solutions to their problems and believe that the process of change is possible. I have worked with children and their parents, pre-teens, adolescents, adults, and couples. I have experience and success in helping to treat eating disorders, sexual abuse and trauma cases, depression/anxiety, couple's conflict, obsessive/compulsive behaviors/thoughts, as well as grief and loss issues. I also have worked with spiritual issues and can provide Christian based treatment if requested.
I blend clinical techniques to help individuals/couples achieve their reasons for coming to therapy. I have found this to be effective by changing my methods to fit the needs of the clients I see. Each individual is different and so should the mode of therapy used for that individual.
It is my believe that we can be deceived by the lies that we tell ourselves. By becoming aware of these lies, we can learn to question, challenge and even refute them. Then we can begin the process of constructing new beliefs/goals that are filled with hope and change.
