As a size 18, I really was not looking forward to wedding dress shopping. I’ve read so many horror stories about bridal boutiques lacking sizes, or variety for curvier brides, which made me super anxious going into my appointment.  I’ve struggled with body image my whole life and I honestly thought it would control my dress shopping experience. However, I didn’t even think about it one time !!! and I can confidently say that was attributed to the energy of my stylist, Emily.  Emily’s energy was exactly what I needed during my appointment. I brought my family along to my to my dress shopping experience. They were totally out of their element and very quiet. Emily made up for the lack of energy from my group and kept me excited the ENTIRE time. She helped me see myself, my body AND my curves in a new light. I felt beautiful in absolutely every dress — fitted, ball gown, mermaid — you name it! And to top it all off, she even picked out the dress I ended up walking out of the store with!  There were so many options for brides of my size and I absolutely love the fact that I was able to go home with my dress the same day.  Overall, everyone at The Altar Bridal was absolutely amazing and I cannot recommend this bridal shop enough! I am so beyond excited for my wedding and having THE dress makes it feel SO real! Emily, thank you bestie!

I had a great experience finding my dress here. With ~4 months until my wedding, everything being off-the-rack made it easy. I brought the family and they all enjoyed picking out different options for me to try on from the reasonable selection meeting my criteria size 12-14, &lt;$2k. Emily helped us and brought the perfect mix of energy, guidance, and humor for a 9:30 am appointment. After purchasing they gave the dress a cleaning and kept it until my appointment with the associated alterations shop on the second floor. Super convenient!

I highly recommend The Altar for their variety and amazing stylists! This was the first and only place I tried on dresses and found the one so quickly! They have such a wide variety and the stylists are amazing at hearing what you do or don’t like about one dress and immediately grabbing more!  I don’t recommend getting alterations done by the business upstairs, though. They recommended her when I bought the dress as they do not do alterations in house, and I am very disappointed with the service. After setting appointments months in advance, she had to reschedule my second appointment and when I arrived, all of the pins were still there from the first, which means nothing had been done. For my third fitting, which was supposed to be my final, I brought family to learn how to bustle the dress, but it was not done. We had to come back again the next day, which is a 40 minute drive, and I had to have different people come with because of scheduling conflicts on such short notice.  She placed the lining in incorrectly so there was horribly rippling on the neckline and she showed me how to pull the lining down and dress up to fix it, which I had to do EVERY TIME I moved on my wedding day because it was so noticeable in pictures. To help remedy it, she added bra cups, which I had said I did not want as the dress was already fitted, and only added two small strings to attach each. One snapped so one of the bra cups was floating loose in my gown and has to be adjusted constantly. Finally, as we put on the dress the morning of the wedding we found FIVE OR SIX holes in the fabric that had been safety pinned closed and not sewn. This was horribly disappointing especially after paying $1,225 in just alterations.

I LOVE the altar bridal! My wedding is just 4 months away so this was the perfect option for me to be able to find something that I could take home same day. Morgan was awesome! I thought I was done after the first dress but she encouraged me to keep trying on more and to find one I loved. I was pretty content on just finding something I liked because I have trouble day to day clothes shopping because of my size. But I swear they got better every time. The final and DREAM wedding dress that I purchased, was actually a pick from Morgan that she chose off of me telling her what I was looking for. These girls know what they’re doing! Trust them! I’m in love with my dress. It’s even more than I could’ve imagined it would be. Thank you Morgan and everyone at Altar Bridal! I will recommend you over and over again!

The Altar Bridal is amazing! I went in my first day dress shopping just to look and get an idea of what I wanted. It was my first day looking but the second store I went to and I said “YES” at the Altar Bridal. Everything was so clean and nice and all the staff was so friendly and super helpful! Morgan helped me find exactly what I wanted, was so helpful and made me feel so special and beautiful! I was not planning on buying a dress that day but they had exactly what I wanted and made me feel so confident in my decision making. All my sisters loved it there as well and was such a great experience overall. Would highly recommend going there!

My entire experience was incredible! I was very nervous showing up because this was my first time wedding dress shopping and I had no clue what I wanted. Immediately, I felt so comfortable when I arrived and everyone made the process so easy for me! Maureen was my stylist and she was the absolute best! She helped me find the perfect dress for ME! I highly recommend visiting this location if you are looking for a wedding dress!

Friendly staff, but beware. I did not like any of the dresses in my size. My stylist understood what style I was looking for and brought in a dress multiple sizes above my size. She clipped it extremely well to my body and made it seem like alterations would be super easy. I should have researched alterations prior to coming in, but she made it seem like everything would be good. Unfortunately, my alterations ended up costing the same as the dress at a whopping 950$! Had I known this prior to purchasing the dress, I would’ve never even considered it.  The seamstress also noted multiple rips on the dress that I hadn’t seen when I tried it on.  Ultimately, be careful with any dress you buy outside of your size and look closely at the dress for any rips. If you’re looking to spend under $1000, the selection will most likely be small.

I had an amazing experience at The Altar Bridal! I struggled leading up to my appointment because I've always hated wearing dresses and the way they looked on my body, and this would be my first time trying on any dresses after pushing it off for so long! My consultant Morgan was super patient and listened to everything I said. She only pulled dresses within my price range and didn't make me feel any pressure to like the dresses she chose for me! I ended up walking out with the second dress I tried on which fit absolutely perfect!  I have to say that the experience of being able to try on your actual dress size 10000% beats having to try on sample sizes at boutiques that are always too small or too big. In addition to trying on my actual size, it was refreshing that they had an extensive size range with gorgeous gowns and a huge variety of styles to suit anyone's taste!  I also have to add that because most of these styles are not the current season being sold at most bridal shops, it's very likely nobody will have the same dress as you which is awesome and so fun!  Lastly, nothing beats being able to walk out THAT DAY with your dress and have any option for tailoring that you would like. They do have a seamstress that offers really great price points but I love that there was no pressure to use her!  Thank you for a wonderful experience!

I recently found my dream dress here at The Altar Bridal. Originally my mom and I went in to just try on dresses for the first time. I had set up an appointment at another store a week later hoping this appointment would help me narrow down what I wanted. Little did I know that I would be walking out with the most perfect dress for me.  My mom and I couldn’t praise our stylist, Morgan, enough. She was so helpful, insightful, and friendly. She really listened to what I liked and wanted and gave me so many options. I really appreciated her candor the most. It felt like I was shopping with a friend.  I am so happy with my experience and will continue to recommend this shop.

I had the most fabulous experience at The Altar Bridal shop. Maureen was absolutely amazing and has such a great vibe to her. The entire staff makes you feel so happy, confident and comfortable while you are there. I found my dress in less than an hour, under budget and even more stunning than I ever imagined it to be. The ladies there even recommended where to get my alterations because I'm getting married in three weeks. I will definitely mention this shop to every bride I meet in the future. Perfection!
