Walk and bike to school, to work, and to play in Kingston, NY!
This page was previously the Safe Routes to Schools and Parks page for the Healthy Kingston for Kids project, a Robert Wood Johnson funded initiative to reverse childhood obesity in Kingston. It is now the page to communicate all about all initiatives in the City that relate to walking and biking. Some current projects that we will communicate about include a $500,000 Safe Routes to School project the City won in 2013 for improvements on routes to the Bailey, Edson, GW, and JFK schools and the new $4.3 million Kingston Connectivity Project, which will include streetscape improvements on the Broadway corridor and the Kingston Greenline.
