COMPLIMENTA
is an arts organization that supports projects and practitioners bringing a rigorous aesthetic and intellectual approach to their work, invigorating a vital and mutually beneficial relationship between current art and public community. The primary site of COMPLIMENTA is "the Manse", a rural property in the Town of Enfield, outside the City of Ithaca, NY. Programs include COMPLIMENTA, an annual 3 day forum for the presentation of context-specific works in all mediums; a bi-annual residency program; and Compliments, a curated series of time based works. For Complimenta, art provides a venue to open up a larger dialogue around location, economy and culture. This conversation brings together and serves both artists working around the world, and the local public, through an ethos of hospitality.
