Comprehend is a community mental healthcare provider offering comprehensive behavioral health services including counseling, case management, psychiatric, day treatment and a variety of services for children and adults with behavioral health disorders and addictions. Our staff of fully licensed, professionals provides behavioral health care services in Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment, Mental Health (children and adults), and Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. Comprehend’s Children’s Services staff offers early intervention services to elementary school children. Studies show that mental health has a complex interactive relationship with their physical health and their ability to succeed in school and in society. We currently provide First Steps for children ages 0 to 3 that have early developmental delays, Dinosaur School for children ages 3 to 8, which teaches young people anger management skills, conflict resolution and a range of positive pro-social behaviors. Comprehend’s Addictions Services provides an Intensive Outpatient Program for individuals as well as an Intensive Outpatient Program for Expectant Mothers who suffer from addiction. Comprehend’s Crisis Services provides a Children’s Crisis Stabilization Unit for individuals who are experiencing a mental crisis situation.
