Compton Community Fire Protection District was voted on in Feb, 1952, and established May, 1952. The Village of Compton Volunteer Fire Department donated their 1941 truck and equipment to the District and agreed to man the trucks for the District.
Compton Community Fire Protection District was voted on in Feb, 1952, and established May 1, 1952. The Village of Compton Volunteer Fire Department donated their 1941 Ford truck and equipment to the District at that time and agreed to man the trucks for the District. Thus was formed the Compton Volunteer Fire District Department, commonly referred to now as the Compton Volunteer Fire Department.
