Surprisingly clean, polite, quick, and efficient. Complete with a movie to go and express to the airport, it is no longer the bus service of days gone by. Update: they are still the cat's meow.
My wife and I take this bus from Portland to Boston and vice versa a couple times a year. The drivers are always friendly and the ride is always smooth and worry free. The on board bathrooms are always clean and stocked. Not sure there's anything else to say. We will always take this bus as long as it's available.
Never having been on a bus I was expecting to be very confused, but this was a very easy process. The arrival time was accurate to what was estimated. The buses were clean, the driver friendly. I would definitely ride with CCL again. Cheap, easy, hassle free.
Very comfortable ride. We rode from Boston, MA, to Portland, ME, and back 4 days later. Book ahead of time on their website. Don't worry if you pick the wrong day online. The tickets are actually open-ended. Watch your time, and plan accordingly. Remember to take into account loading time for all passengers. This can make a ride run late. Tip your driver and have a great time on your trip.
We rode The Downeaster to Portland & caught CCL to Rockland. Bought ticket through Amtrak. Cannot beat the price. Buses are nice. Seats a little tight for two big ones but not bad. Get to roll through 4 or 5 historic towns and also see some water vistas.
Great, easy website. Driver, Les, could not have been more kind, funny and helpful. Bus was clean, well maintained, all stops on time or early, very pleasant ride overall. Would absolutely use again. Maine to Boston.
Not the best experience but not the worst, travelled from Seasport to Boston Logan with a bus change in Portland. Bus departed searsport on time but arrived to Portland 28 minutes late, 2 minutes before the next departed. We were told our bags would be transferred but I was watching and mine never got loaded so I got off and found it sitting by the side of the bus I originally arrived on. It didn’t have a tag for which terminal I was departing at in Boston not sure when it would have gotten one as I wasn’t offered this when boarding despite saying I was going to the airport. I don’t know what would have happened if I didn’t go get my bag and bring it the next bus, but if there is a policy regarding tags it was never communicated to me. I’d also recommend taking an earlier service when possible because traffic and boarding/offloading can delay the arrival.
Concord is always great. We used the express service to and from Portland to Boston. Boston traffic was awful and the bus was later picking up at the airport but our driver was polite and professional and got us home safely and efficiently. I'd never drive!
Honestly the best bus company to ride with! I love Concord, their drivers are friendly and professional and they have real people to talk to at this stop for help and ticketing. Super clean transit center too, I definitely will bus over to Boston more than drive. Thanks y’all!
Bed good. Not fancy, but practical. Breakfast buffet. Location great for proximity to transportation center with shuttle to Logan, and transport to Amtrak. Free shuttle to the transportation center. 3.5 stars
