You can see the lake almost anywhere. The walls of the library facing the windows are covered with glass, you can see the lake even if you are on the other side of the building. It is said that Eero Saarinen was inspired by the idea of ​​seeing an ancient Europe village to design this campus, allowing students to travel through architecture and nature. This is definitely one of the most beautiful modern campus on Earth.
This is a beautiful place to spend a day. I live here and love every part of it. There are 10 soccer fields and a huge gym to play in. There is a library that is a great place to study and read. There is free WiFi, the password is offered in the library, and a studwnt commons which has pool, ping pong, TV, and air hockey. There are paths to walk through the woods and green feilds to walk through. This is a beutiful place for all people.
Been there once in 2017. Been inside the main chapel and I thought it was beautiful, the whole place is very peaceful. Looking forward to make a trip there soon
The living embodiment of the preaching of Christ crucified once for all. Live daily morning chapel are not only a blessing but an instrument of teaching and modeling worship. The campus is overwhelmingly peaceful, amenities all around, incredible food, knowledgeable staff, the professors constantly volunteering their services all over the globe, on radio, in lecture halls, symposiums, conferences, you name it. The bookstore insanely tempting. Worth a visit just to hear the Schlicker in Kramer Chapel. Good model for the entire synod.
Fantastic place for both worship and education. Highly qualified instructors teach true biblical doctrine in a vitally practical manner. Students are well-trained pastorally and theologically.
Complete scumbags wall to wall. Disgusting to think Christ's name is in anyway associated with these horrible people. The office of holy ministry is a joke thanks to this institution. Basically everyone lies by cooperating and graduating then teaching in their churches whatever keeps the lights on. Best thing that could've ever happen would have been this joke of an institution shut down and MDivs made available at the universities. With the jokes of lay ministry programs, SMP, as well as family life ministry programs being a pastor in the LCMS means absolutely nothing other than you failed miserably at life.
As adjudged by the LCMS pastors I have met, this place has failed miserably. The former dean, Mr. Wenthe, would solicit money so he could go on luxury cruises to Alaska. The LCMS has disintegrated into a religious country club that is way to receptive to church growth methods and feminism.
Great campus! Fantastic faculty. Christ-centered and Biblical.
Went there 30 yrs ago, loved the education and the people. Turned me into the best pastor evangelist ever.
Beautiful library, friendly staff and breathtaking view!
