Temple Israel Community Center | Congregation Heichal Yisrael is a Conservative egalitarian synagogue located in Cliffside Park, NJ.
We're located a couple of miles south of the GW Bridge, although our members come from all over Bergen and Hudson counties, including Edgewater, Fort Lee, North Bergen and Fairview. Parking is available on-street and in the municipal lot behind the shul.
We're less a congregation and more a community. We enjoy being together and we enjoy being in shul. We believe Shabbat services do not have to be either boring or predictable; they should be pleasurable and uplifting —and we try to achieve that every week.
Shabbat morning services are held every Saturday morning, beginning at 9:30 a.m., and are almost always followed by a kiddush and luncheon, at which everyone is welcome. We often engage in interesting discussions and spirited singing—thereby helping to create a true sense of community.
