Recently had a funeral for a family member at this facility and was bothered by some things. Funerals are hard enough but there are some basic things that can be done to make things a little better. When at a funeral, there is a definite break area needed for grieving family to rest and eat or drink something. The area at this facility is pathetic. There is no refrigerator or microwave. I brought some food for my family member who was very weak and had to leave it in my car then go to the nearby GAS station to heat it up for him so he didn't pass out. There is no technology or sound system or ways to place family photos on a digital display. This is 2022, update your technology. Also, we got billed for things that were not delivered and funeral director abd staff acted puzzled when it was brought up.. For the amount of money funerals cost, there is NO excuse for these things. Fix it now so other families can be better served.
The whole staff from Les, Craig, Betty, Tommie and others were so kind to me and the unique situation that me and my partner shared. They did everything so well and were such caring, sensitive and helpful people. Your kindness and professionalism are much appreciated. John would be proud of the service and all you did for the family.
My family has used the services of Conkle Funeral Homes for years, and I've never had a complaint with how I've been treated. They've always been honest, up front, and have answered every question with compassion and professionalism. I do think the Speedway location has gotten a bit run down and could use a renovation. It still looks nice, but it's a bit dated.
This was the first funeral, I had ever planned. The entire staff, especially Patrick Funeral Director were so kind. They knew how important it was that everything was perfect and it certainly was. Thank you so much for helping me through this difficult time.
The only reason I give it one star is because Google won't let me give zero. These people PREY on the distraught, grieving and mourning. Go in with someone who can stand their ground and the wishes of the family- they told my mother after losing her husband of 40 years that "he would want a better more expensive funeral service and casket." AND the "included obituary" was mostly an AD for Conklin Funeral Homes in BIG, BOLD letters! They typed up what my mother wanted said about the passing of her husband, they showed it back to her for approval with NOTHING about the funeral home itself. Just terrible.
Very poor and incompetent customer service! Do better!
Whatever lady answers the phone here, you are incredibly rude. You have the nerve to raise your voice at someone who never raised theirs at you. It’s incredibly rude, incredibly childish, and says a lot about what kind of company this is.
