Our brother passed away suddenly back in July 2021 and because of unknown reasons his daughter never had any kind of service for him. We did get his ashes and we decided to have our own celebration of life down southern Illinois but wanted it to be special. I contacted Ben at Conley Funeral home to see if they could help me out and they did just that. Ben put some of my brother's ashes in jewelry and helped me with a cremation urn and Karen set up the most beautiful memorial DVD. I just can't believe the compassion and wanting to make sure our family is at peace during our difficult time. They went above and beyond for our family. It just goes to show it isn't about money they did not do the cremation but about families. They truly are wonderful people.
My family lost our father very unexpectedly. My mother and I came to Conley's lost and grieving. Ben and his family were able to clear that fog of pain and helped my family to provide my father the respect and memorial that he deserved. The personal touches that the Conleys go out of their way to achieve are what show they care so much about the community and their lost loved ones. I can't thank Ben and his family enough.
We couldn't have asked for a better experience during a very difficult time when my father passed away. Ben, Leah and the other staff members were so caring, compassionate, thorough and willing to do anything we asked of them. My mom and I met with Leah when we knew my dad didn't have much time left. It was so helpful to understand what decisions needed to be made and what to expect. After he passed away, we communicated frequently by phone, text and email, and everything went very smoothly. They did a terrific job putting together a video of photos we provided and producing a memory book with his obituary and photos we selected. The funeral home itself is so lovely and recently remodeled. We held my dad's funeral there, and it has a nice homey atmosphere versus being a being vast room I've seen at other funeral homes. Finally, one of the things we were most impressed with was how much attention and care they gave to the grandchildren in our family. Ben gave them a talk before the funeral, explaining death in a way that was very relatable and heart-warming, and they were included in the grave-side service in a way that was very special. I can't say enough about how much we appreciated this extra care.
We cannot say enough about what Conley Funeral Home means to us. The care and support they have given our family is beyond what we would have expected. They guide us through the process and are always available to answer any call. The life story of our loved one that Ben captured just by talking to us and getting to know him was beautiful and all our friends and family will cherish this loving memorial. This is not about running a business, it is about loving our family through the most difficult time in our lives.
I cannot express enough gratitude and appreciation for Conley Funeral Home. Ben and his staff helped me and my family through the difficult passing of my mother. The compassion, professionalism, caring nature of the entire staff was simply beautiful and amazing. Ben educates the small children who may not understand the meaning or why death happens. Putting into words the gratefulness I have towards Ben and the entire Conley Funeral Home staff doesn’t seem like enough.
I have attended 2 services at Conley Funeral Home in the past 7 months, one being my Dad's. Ben Conley and his staff were very compassionate and took great care in displaying all my Dads momentos. They took their own pictures off the wall and replaced them with his paintings. They set up as much of my Dads handmade items as we brought to them. They have a very nice kitchen in the lower level along with an area for the kids with a pool table and video games. At the end of the service, Ben released a dove in my Dads honor. That was something I have never seen done before. It meant a lot to our family. I would highly recommend Conley's to anyone looking for that personal touch with a very comfortable homelike setting.
Where to even start. We got the recommendation from a nurse at rush Copley whom had been told herself that they were a great place. We took the recommendation obviously.....and were pleasantly surprised every step of the way by the Conley's sincerity understanding and generosity during one of the most difficult times in my life. They came out to my home miles away to handle arrangements. When we picked up our baby girl we met with them there at the office next door to the actual funeral home. And what a relief and repreive that was. They had done a wonderful job making sure it didn't have a cold funeral home feeling which I had been overwhelmed and terrified of on the way up. They were considerate and thoughtful and definitely a place I would entrust in the future. Thank you again!
We cannot thank the Conley family and their funeral home enough for all of the services they recently provided us. To say things were treated delicately is an understatement. Each circumstance of loss is different and beyond difficult, but in our case, we experienced a sudden, truly unexpected loss. They worked with us in every way possible and made the process more manageable. Helping us handle everything was more important than the business side and for that we'll be forever grateful. We'd recommend them to any family and plan to support them in the community for years to come.
The service Conley Funeral Home provides is exemplary. Planning a memorial for a loved one was handled with absolute kindness and sensitivity. Family and friends were welcomed to a personalized memorial in a warm, comfortable setting. Mementos were set up throughout the funeral home and handled with tremendous care. The genuine sincerity of Mr. Conley and his staff is outstanding.
I've dealt with Conley funeral home on several different occasions - everything from the sudden and unexpected death of a close friend in school to the death of an elderly grandparent. The entire staff goes above and beyond in the most difficult of times. Ben continues to carry on the great legacy of this family. He was amazing at discussing death, the funeral, burial, etc with my children and patiently answering all of their questions. It is truly a blessing to have such a wonderful place in my hometown.
