Connecticut State Police Troop E Montville is responsible for patrolling I-95 and I-395 in Southeastern Connecticut. As well as patrolling the highway, Troop E Montville is the primary law enforcement for the towns of Voluntown, Griswold, Jewett City, Sprague, Preston, and North Stonington. Troop E Montville assists the towns of East Lyme and Montville under the Resident State Trooper Program.

I got into an accident on 395 in Plainfield on 1/30/2022. The day after the Blizzard. I wish I knew the Officer’s name that found me in the ditch. He was so nice to me! I was not hurt but alone, scared and cold. He let me sit in his car as he cranked the heat for me! I felt so relieved. Want to give him a Shout out! Thank you SO much for not just helping me but also for your kindness. You will always stick out in my head when I remember that day.
Went here for my fingerprints for my pistol permit. I was late and had made an appointment with the wrong office and they still got me and my wife in to do our fingerprints. The woman doing our fingerprints went above and beyond to help us anyway she could. Very happy with the female officer who help us thank you Troop E
Last night I took my daughter to the Montville carnival. We parked right by two Police Officers which excited her. Immediately upon exciting the car, she went over to thank them for keeping us safe and to share her bag of Aiheads bites with them and they treated her so wonderfully, like they were lifelong friends. They gsve her a stuffed bear with a D.A.R.E. pin on it to surprise her when we were leaving. They said that no child has ever offered such kindness and generosity to them as that they loved her for it. What a great moment. Thank you to the Montville, division of the CT State Police Officers Troop E who made her night. She talked about her nice new Police Officer friends on the ride home instead of the rides and games with her friends. You made a wonderful and lasting impression on her. Thank you!
A man was given permission to be on the property for trash removal. My car was then stolen brought to a junkyard and crushed. Called the police and they can't do anything because he had permission to be on the property. Makes perfect sense, thank you so much CT.
Worst officers possible, I was guilty before they even arrived. My family attorney saw the dash cam and agreed that there was serious misconduct among the officers, and they will find out that the police are NEVER above the law.
First off they do not do fingerprints between the hours that they say on the website they only do them at 4 p.m. 8 a.m. that is it. Like usual the state of Connecticut this is a huge waste of my time. South Carolina here I come.
