The Conroe Police Department is comprised of 131 sworn officers, 42 civilian employees, 11 Reserve Police Officers and numerous civilian volunteers. All are committed men and women dedicated to creating a safer environment and providing quality service to the 71,000 plus citizens of Conroe, the thousands of visitors to our city and the approximately 71 square miles of city we serve.
The Conroe Police Department is dedicated to serving our community through the protection of life and property and the prevention of crime. The Department will work to enforce the laws, maintain order, educate the public and provide public assistance for the purpose of ensuring the highest quality of life.
As the Police Department serves our community we emphasize:
- A Service Orientation - Responsiveness to our community needs by quality of service and respect for the dignity of the human spirit.
- Enforcement of Law - The enforcement of laws and ordinances and to uphold the Constitutional rights of all those within our jurisdiction.
- Maintain Order - Through vigilance assure the day-to-day activities of the community may proceed in an environment of stability and security.
- Educate the Public - Enhance the public's awareness of crime information and educate the general public in crime related matters.
- Provide Public Assistance - To respond to non-criminal or non-emergency concerns such as traffic control, suspicious circumstances, possible safety hazards, other citizen requests for assistance and to provide referral and direction to resolve non-criminal problems through local social/humanistic services.

POST / COMMENT REMOVAL POLICY
The Conroe Police Department’s Facebook fan page was created by the department to facilitate the exchange of information with the public at large. To promote such exchange the department encourages and welcomes postings and comments from the general public about issues related to law enforcement in Conroe. With that said, however, the police department reserves the right to regulate the content of, and where necessary delete completely, any objectionable entry that appears on its fan page. The Conroe Police Department is responsible for monitoring all postings to its Facebook page and may take appropriate action whenever necessary, and at its sole discretion, to protect other fan page visitors from inappropriate or otherwise harmful information and links.
To that end, the Conroe Police Department will as soon as feasible delete any posting that involves:
• Advertisements of any kind
• Profane language
• Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination on a basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability, or sexual orientation.
• Explicit or implied sexual content
• Conduct implying, promoting, or encouraging illegal activity
• Information that might compromise the safety or security of the public
• Any other posting that, by its nature or content, might harm public welfare
• Comments/post that are repetitive
• Comments on post/photos that do not pertain to the page
• Support or Opposition of political candidate, political organizations or ballot propositions
