I have been coming here my entire second pregnancy I’m 32 weeks, I was running late for my appointment and called ahead of time to see if I was still able to make it, they told me to come in by 2:15. I got to the office at 2:17 and asked if the doctor was still able to see me despite the 2 minutes over the time limit. They left me sitting in the waiting room for 45 minutes without a word. This isn’t the first time this has happened where I have called ahead to see if I should reschedule or come in and they have wasted my time. They seem to have no consideration for other peoples times and didn’t even bother communicating with me at all.
They may be good at delivering babies but.... I went to Evelyn Simmons for abnormal bleeding she said there was absolutely nothing wrong with me.... I went to kingwood a yr later where my hormone levels are postmenopausal at 35 years old!!!! She doesn't listen!!! When I told her there is definitely something wrong ...she says I'm fine.. worst ob experience and if she would listen to her patients maybe she could have put me on something for my hormones a yr ago!
A Evelyn Simmions will watch her patients for 3 weeks writhing in pain, make plans but never discuss with the patient and never calls back but she will say till she’s blue in the face she has and even puts on paper record she had discussed it with me. Should have figured since she’s a midwife and not a real ob. B Carolina at the front desk has to be the RUDEST receptionist I’ve ever dealt with. Just kept saying “go to er” and nothing they can do when I told her I’d been 10 times since my first trimester 22 weeks now with no help then proceeds to very bluntly hang up. I know something can me done. I can be monitored because I had the same issues 6 years ago with my first pregnancy. dr young delivered my first child and I have zero complaints. He is incredible. I switched back to him two months ago and it’s been much better. However, when I’m told that if I can’t be “civil” when I’m sorry, I haven’t eat, slept or had water in DAYS but that’s not hospital admittance worthy apparentlyto a very rude receptionist I will be kicked MORE THAN HALF WAY THROUGH A DIFFICULT PREGNANCY when the office is very aware of my CPTSD, Panic disorder, and GAD and has watched me for 5 months trying to get help have badly ate or drank liquid, thrown up and lost 35 lbs and explaining I “look fine” when I keep explaining I have neurological damage on top of mental disorders. They keep trying to send me to a psych which I’ve gone to for years with no help because it’s a neurological condition. I can’t get out of bed to even make it to the appointments so all I’ve asked is to admit me just once to look so I can make it until September. To threaten someone with so many disorders and I’m so much pain that they’ll just have no doctor when they are due in 3.5 months is absurd. I do not feel safe walking in there tomorrow for my appointment and have no clue what do do. But the receptionist CAROLINA needs to find another job. Obviously this isn’t the field for her. Dr young would get 5 stars but some of the answering staff and the care the other “doctors” midwives are not worth more than 2
Wife tried to get an appointment and were extremely rude and helpless!! Literally told us to stop calling. Will never be back but wanted to leave a bad review. Hospitality is crucial! Keep in mind that people go to you all with stress and emotions, you gotta be better and show empathy!
As a previous reviewer mentioned, this place is a joke! I’ve only seen Midwife Evelyn Simmons and Dr. Young. Dr Young had me waiting in the room 45min before walking in with his cold, and stoic demeanor, to relay a 3-5min diagnosis about my fibroids, which months later proved to be negligent as he should have advised me to remove them before trying to conceive again, instead of saying, “Their not a problem, you can start trying tomorrow!” Not surprised as I don’t think the doctor or staff read patients charts/previous notes around this office! Mrs. Simmons is nice and warm and I have no doubts she could deliver a baby if vou are a low risk individual with no pregnancy concerns. Her incompetent assistant Jasmine however is rude and just plain inconsiderate! Her role as a medical assistant has ALWAYS had me questioning her intelligence and I really miss when RN's or some type of nurses were assisting in doctors office. The people who answer the phone were negligent in the message that was giving to them over the phone about my water rupturing at 15 weeks! I specifically asked for an emergency Apptyes after visiting an ER, but them releasing me saying follow up with your midwife/OB I was told by the lack of concern person at the front desk I think her name is Laura, "Mrs. Simmons doesn't like other doctors seeing her patients." Excuse me?!? Ma'am, my amniotic sac has ruptured!! I'm sure she wouldn't mind a doctor in the office seeing me, please put on your thinking cap in this moment!! Of course, hours passed, now Jasmine has now gotten a hold of my files and paid attention that there is a problem, so now their scrambling calling me saying Simmons wants me to come now so I can be seen by a different doctor, offering me an appointment that was about to start in 15min and I was 57min away! I'II stop there. This practice and people really need better training, education, more order, and definitely better functioning brains to trigger their common sense. Even the check in process at the front desk is cold and unwelcoming! The old staff was so great, even the way they answered the phone and put you on hold was professional, however these new inconsiderate individuals are taking this practice downhill! I'll say go at your own risk and again, if you don't have any risk during your pregnancy this may be the place for you, but just don't expect a team of individuals who care about you, your health or your child's best interest.
Dr Cheng’s team was delightful from start to finish of my appointment. Checked me in promptly and cheerfully. Kept me comfortable and informed of the Dr’s timing throughout. Dr Cheng listened carefully, was efficient, and gentle. Checking out was easy with only minutes spent for booking next appointment. The entire team was personable and caring. I highly recommend.
This place is an absolute joke. The staff accused me of lying about the fact they didn’t tell me I needed to be in a half an hour before my appointment. I waited to get into this place for over a month for a fertility transfer. These people in the front office we’re completely unprofessional and I will be telling everyone I know who wants maternity care to find another place. I like any other person show up at the time they tell me. I was 15 minutes early to begin with. If you need an OB go to Trish Perkins who won’t belittle you and lie about you because they can’t do there job. I’m glad I didn’t schedule any more appointments with them because I wouldn’t want to interact with such rude office staff monthly. Yuck!
Great experience! Made a same day appointment and got in right away. The front desk staff and the medical assistant Ms. Carolina was very nice and helpful. Through the entire process of being a new client and giving realistic expectations and timelines. I will definitely be back and would recommend the practice!
The office staff was really nice, they deal with all the pregnancy hormones and I couldn’t be more grateful. Dr. Cheng was super sweet and informative, also really gentle while doing the exam. Thank you everyone, you made our first appointment a great experience.
Dr. Young is amazing! Caring, funny, makes you feel very comfortable. Has many years of experience, I feel very safe in his care. Highly recommend! His staff is perfect as well. Ana and Chanelle are so dedicated, caring and efficient! Love this team!
