I don’t know where to begin but the officers here are horrible and biased. Easily bought. And do not help at all. I have needed their assistance a few times and through out those times they did nothing but try to say that I and my partner were the instigators, we were trying to keep record of an ongoing case the officers threatened to arrest my partner and accused us of “abusing 911 calls” to make an assault charge protective order the police didn’t do anything, and didn’t want to pick up our case, and had us go through Bexar county to figure this whole protective order placement out. On top of that they also do not care for the safety of children. The officers have horrible attitudes and try to intimidate you. How can anyone feel safe with these types of officers. Wish to put zero stars for converse pd.
I use to feel safe but ever since the mayor and police chief CHOSE to have Bexar county sheriff's do our police dispatching I don't. Worst decision EVER for Converse. The police chief is aware of the gap between citizens and police officers. There is not a decent officer working at this police station anymore because all the good ones left with the dispatch change. The police officers are LAZY and do not want to do any paperwork and blame the Bexar county DA for their laziness. The city might as well have dismantled the police department. The crime rate in Converse has gone up. It was never like this before.
I have requested assistance from the Converse PD twice in the last 2 years. Both times received no help for the situation. The fact that you have to go through Bexar County Communication Center and wait on hold for 20 plus minutes then to get no help from the police department just makes me lose faith in the system. The officers are polite but don't do much of anything to help you. I am pro police and I have several family members who are police officers. This department needs help.
Very prompt when called. Officers were extremely courteous and respectful. They were very helpful and made us feel very safe. They respected our complaint and made our opinion feel valued. I have never met a better crew of officers and staff at the station. Every interaction we have had has been a positive one.
I am crying in appreciation for the officers in this city minus that dispatch lady who has smarted off to me a bunch and how safe we have felt for the last several years, and how scared I will be to have to leave our home if we're evicted due to foreclosure. I deleted my original post because I'm crying and I'm going to have a panic attack trying to describe what I've struggled through here and the PTSD events, and how grateful I am to them for the consistently perfect service for years. minus the new dispatch lady... i really wish i could give her a separate rating of negative stars... i want to get a copy of my 911 calls and learn to animate just so i can post them to the Internet, she made me so mad. lol if we have to move even to another street in this town, I'll be so scared because they're always on this road, and protecting us. it is one reason that I've realized that our country needs more funding for officers because having a greater ratio of officers to civilians increases the quality of care just like having more teachers to students ratios in the school system. when the country considers where to cut budgets from, the police should be the last thing to go because from a lack of safety and wellbeing come so many other forms of suffering. I'm pretty emotional with ptsd so I'll just say thank you to them. ...except for that dispatcher who was mean to me!
Officers here will actually talk to you and help figure out a way to solve what seems keyword seems to be the problem, Even if it's personal without judgment. I love Converse and law and order.
Decent response time. They don't usually give citations unless you did something pretty stupid. 4 stars because I'm tired of seeing junkies walking past my house all the time, either arrest them or force them out of Converse.
0 stars if I could
Watch out, they're gonna get ya...
