Today our truck died at a very busy intersection. My husband got out to raise the hood, It was so busy at this intersection it was a dangerous situation. A officer who was at the intersection quickly came to our aid. I have never been so glad to see blue lights behind us. He pushed our truck out of the road and helped us obtain the number for a towing service. He made sure we were okay and wished us a blessed day. Really appreciate the help of this kind helpful officer.
Today our van went completely dead. It took within seconds for this kind police officer to get to our situation immediately. He did an incredible job!!! Just makes me ever so greatful to be apart of Cookeville TN. God bless the police officers here. Now we're safely home. We truly live in a fantastic place!!!
How does someone call for help then end up getting so screwed over for doing the right thing, makes me wanna do the opposite next time. Thanks so much for basically assisting in having my truck stolen
Called to report someone stalking my friend on her way home. Following her in his car telling her he needs someone to take care of his baby and get in the car. Get in the car. Followed her almost all the way home. She was so upset So I called the police for her. Thank god someone else saw what was going on because she was only on the phone with me, hoping calling me would serve as evidence should she disappear. She told me the license plate number and I quickly wrote it down when the man approached in his car again. I called the station with the street name and plate number and got snark about why she wasn’t calling and how could she POSSIBLY remember the plate number but not the color of the car. Giving me an accusatory tone for NO reason. I told her I didn’t realize there was a protocol when you’re being harassed and she said that isn’t what she was saying but she doesn’t see how my friend could remember the plate number but not the car color. I hung up. I have no time to deal with this kind of misogyny. These attitudes are why women do not report harassment.
I forgot I told officer duke I’d write him a good review when I got arrested. Super awesome and respectful officer. I 10/10 recommend getting arrested by him.
Enjoyed the 4th of July fireworks and enjoyed speaking with the officer at the corner close to where the fireworks had been set off. The officer was very friendly and professional and personable. Stay Safe Cookeville PD
While in cookesville due to an evacuation from hurricane irma i had a bad experience at a local hotel. Fall creek inn had ripped me off and put me and my family in a bad position. The police were called and they couldnt do much to help me. One of the officers, unfortunately i can not remember his name because so much was going on, he was amazing and he really helped us out on a personal level. He was very sympathetic to our situation and went above and beyond to help us and make sure we would be ok. We have never been to tennessee and unfortunately we are here due to an emergency situation. The hotel gave us a bad first impression but this officer showed us what tennessee is really about. We hope to come back in the future for an accual vacation. I really wish i could remember this officers name so i can give him proper recognition but he knows who he is and i hope he knows how much all of his help has impacted us. Keep up the good work!! If we had more people like him in this world it would be a better place. In my opinion he deserves a bonus!!!
The Policemen are 5 but the new station looks like a giant Dollar General. Extremely depressing architecture. We have regressed as a society. Square buildings with no art. Blah
I have a son who has PTSD and is currently experiencing escalates emotions due to some events of the past. I have had to call for help several times in the last few weeks. I have had nothing but very kind, caring officers who have gone above and beyond to HELP with a very delicate and serious situation. My absolute thanks and appreciation to all sho have responded. As a wife of a deceased retired police officer, I understand you all put your lives on the line everyday. Many do not realize what a BLESSING YOU ARE. BE SAFE OUT THERE. WE NEED YOU!
A lot of the cops seem like a-holes that are more worried about meeting ticket quotas than stopping real crime.
