I am giving a one star review not because of the medical care I received but because of the charging patients $50 to write a prescription. The care I received was excellent, however, I feel that charging anyone, let alone senior citizens to write a prescription is outrageous. I don’t think having a sign that people don’t understand should justify it. My insurance wouldn’t cover this, rightly so. I paid these charges twice before I realized what I was paying for. I had a appointment scheduled in the near future which I cancelled for this reason. Although the care I received was good, I will not return to this office - it goes against my moral compass!!
I second that the receptionist at this location is rude and tries to talk over you if there is a complaint. My 80 year old Mother went here for the first time yesterday. Her normal Dr. retired. It wasn't until after the exam she was told that to get a prescription written it was $50. They have a sign stating Glasses Refractions are extra.. but not everyone knows the meaning of this. When I called to ask about it following day, all receptionist wanted to do was argue and blame my Mother, who is on a limited income for her not understanding.
Dr Cooper is professional, caring and gifted with his surgical abilities. Definitely highly recommend him!
Called to change apt receptionist was very rude and not helpful. Told Me To call back in a few weeks to make another apt. She did not have a calendar in front of here. What Dr office does that??
Update since the compliant I had put in about the experience my mother and I had at Dr. Coopers office I'm pleased to say that we have had a wonderful experience since and it's been great going over there but I would also like to add that I was misinformed the person that treated us so rudely that day wasn't Dr Coopers wife and for that I would like to apologize to her I was giving the wrong information hope she can understand how upset we were about our first visit and how badly we were trested by i have to say how happy we are now with this office and everyone there has been beyond nice and professional which is what we love the most looking forward to more wonderful visits to this office hope Dr Cooper and his family can continue to provide such a great experience for all of the patients that go there once again I would like to apologize to the whole Cooper family my intentions wasn't to offend anyone it was just a bad first visit and so I wrote how I felt at the moment things have changed for the better thank you all for such a great experience
