Copenhagen Imports provides what every shopper wants, but rarely finds. When my wife and I relocated to Sarasota in 2000 we had a need for a desk organizer so we could convert a 2nd bedroom in a condo we owned and rented since 1995 as a vacation rental on Siesta Key. While shopping at Copenhagen Imports we found and purchased the perfect desk, file cabinet drawers and collapsible extension desk that was ideal for our needs at that time. When we returned this condo to a beachfront penthouse vacation rental on Siesta Key and moved in to a waterfront 3-bedroom condo in downtown Sarasota, again this well made and designed desk cabinet was exactly what we required to create our office at our new residence. After 22 years of daily use one of the unique hinges that allowed us to close up our desk, file cabinet drawers into a pleasing wood cabinet that discretely returned our 3rd bedroom from an office to a very efficient sofabed bedroom for visiting family and friends. After visiting a number of cabinet supply locations including Lowe's and Home Depot I realized that only the original hinge could repair our clever and efficient desk cabinet storage furniture piece we had grown to love. In desperation I took photos of our broken hinge and door to Copenhagen Imports hoping for some guidance and suggestions regarding this now 22 year old desk that had served us so well. When the salesperson saw my photos she was not familiar with it at all, but suggested I talk to the owner and introduced us to her. She recognized the piece, said they had sold many of them and stated the company was no longer in business. This was close to my expected end of our desk. Turns out the owner had a former employee who did repair work for them in the past. She took our number and said she would follow up with this person to see if he might be able to help us. We later received a call from that person who informed us he did have that hinge, took our address and showed up with hinge, repaired our broken hinge, charged us $50.00 and our 22 year old desk is now as good as the day we first used it. The owner of Copenhagen Imports truly understands "customer service" and provides excellent value to and for her customers. Ironically the sofa bed in this room is also from Copenhagen Imports and still in service.
Had a sofa purchased through them and they could not deliver the same day and one suggested a local moving company named MoveSRQ and they did a great job. We are very happy with the customer service and happy they had someone who could accommodate us. I highly recommend this store, we have a beautiful sofa. Customer service was outstanding!
I had a perfect shopping experience at Copenhagen imports, specializing in European style furniture. The owner gave me a very informative summary of the type of furnishings they carry, coming from a variety boutique manufacturers from all over the world, including the United states. My favorite piece, which I ultimately bought, was a computer desk of sleek design and clean lines, equipped with a quiet electric motor for height adjustment. The material and finishing are exquisite, making my new computer desk a showpiece of our home, which is quite exceptional for a piece of furniture with a utilitarian function. Even if one has no intention of buying furniture, the store is worth a visit for a unique experience.
So many beautiful pieces here and friendly staff as well. Tom was so nice and equally helpful. You can tell this guy knows what he’s talking about. Love this place. So many mid mod goodies
We have purchased many items from Copenhagen and are very happy with all the furniture. Tom was wonderful to work. The delivery process was smooth and the men were polite and proud of the products they delivered.
Picked out 2 VERY comfortable and classy reclining chairs, and went back to see Isabel for some accessories. Very well stocked with Stressless chairs and sofas; Highly recommend doing business with this local expert retailer.

This is a great place to find well built unique furniture you cannot find anywhere else. Talk to the staff and describe what you are looking for as they have books of unique furniture where they can have something built for you! The best thing about this place is not what is in there showroom, but what they can built for you! We bought a TV stand and chair off the showroom. The custom dining bench, bed, and desk we are still waiting on... Great customer service!
Very professional and helpful staff! Furnished a good portion of my home with Copenhagen Imports, this is due to they're beautiful selection of furniture but mostly they're top notch service! We bought a light fixture there recently and forgot the lamp shade and the owner personally delivered it to our home since we were unable to get there in time for the electrician. My wife and I worked with Roger and will continue to work with him in the future, he is very helpful and knows his product extremely well. Highly recommended!!
Beautiful store! We have ordered a full bedroom set for our new home. Our sales person was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful.
