Wonderful day trip! There is an information center, a few cabins and several picnic areas. There is also a trail you can walk, that is mainly shaded, and will take you to a cave area. A word of caution if going to the cave area, there are stairs going down into the cave. If you bring dogs, it might not be the safest for them. There is 2 observation decks near the cave for pictures. It is steep in that area so stay on trail. Overall a good way to spend an afternoon with the family and learning about Mr Codell Hull and how he impacted the United States.
First time visiting this place. Very cool & fun experience. I love seeing the old cabins.
Full of history. Make sure to check out Bunkum Cave
Beautiful setting and very well kept.
Amazing friendly staff! They were taping an episode of Appalachian Kitchen when I went by and they still took the time to chat with me about the museum, and even let me take my dogs on the property and inside the cabin to check it out. Sincerely appreciate it and I will be back. Can't wait until the weather warms up and I can hike to the cave!
This was a great place to learn some history about Tennessee. The museum of Cordell Hull is awesome along with looking at the home. The hike to the bunkum cave is one to do and see for yourself. The park ranger's are fantastic and full of great information. Can't wait to go back
Had a GREAT time hiking the trail back to the cave! Before we headed to the trail, we headed to the office and got a cave entry permit to go back into the cave! We ended up going about a mile and a half back and crawling on our stomachs a good way to reach another chamber area! Overall, it was an awesome stop!!
Interesting accumulation if artifacts in the museum, lovely trails, amazing cave.. I'd give 10 if I could!
You can see period era housing and some cool artifacts from his career on display in the museum.
Fun place for all! Short trail down the mountain to Bunkum Cave, gorgeous scenery. Cave is fun--phone flashlights don't do much, need a good LED lantern. Park ranger led tours are available for the cave. My kids and I enjoyed it!
