A gem. The staff are caring and compassionate and extremely skilled. I have many disabilities and it can be traumatizing, seeing new doctors. But my experience here has been amazing - I feel respected & heard. Highly recommend! And if you need help figuring out healthcare, staff member Lasean can help - she's amazing. So relieved to have found such a good primary care clinic!
I hate to leave a negative review for a queer-centered business, but Corktown has been insanely difficult to work with since I began going there for primary care services. There is little to no attention to medical questions and requests, and I consistently have to follow up with the office to get ahold of anyone. The worst part is how difficult it is to get prescriptions sent to the pharmacy with them which takes countless calls and follow ups to get completed. Not to mention they are understaffed and always booked really far out.
Absolutely horrible!!!! They were seeing me and decided to draw blood from me. The lady had a attitude with her coworker so she was rough with my needle and when she pulled it out she most definitely pulled it out aggressively and made my vein very sore. Then they started a treat for me and canceled me and my follow up appointment to continue my treatment like me finishing my treatment and getting my health back didn’t matter. When they called to tell me my appointment was canceled the receptionist was so unsympathetic and when I asked so am I going to do about my treatment she basically was like idk Idc if you figure it out by then you can reschedule even tho my treatment is time sensitive. This was just a very discouraging feeling to know that someone doctor office really don’t care about actually healing people or actually care if the people they see actually get better. They are just a clinic working to get a check. This is not the profession for any of them to work in cause they don’t truly care for the people. They just want to money from the insurance the people have and if they don’t have insurance you don’t mean anything to them at all.
The most compassionate staff, clean, well organized intske/reception, respectful. This is real community healthcare & I feel very lucky to have my PCP here.
The doctors are friendly yeah there could be some better attitude adjustments of some of the nurses but overall I overlooked that what I can't overlook is that when you have a 9 o'clock appointment they don't see you until 10 10:30 and then you sit in the room waiting for the doctor for another 30 to 45 minutes to only get to talk to the doctor for maybe 20 minutes waiting for the lab results to get your blood drawn another 20 minutes maybe longer so plan on your pretty much half your day being spent there that's the only norm I have about this place.
This is the absolute worst care I have ever received. I came here after a traumatizing incident and the physicians did not treat me or my situation with care. In fact, they lost my testing and then sent me a $1,000 bill. Do not go here.
I love this place! Seriously the most kind a caring Dr I've have ever had!! Dr Kobbani is the absolute best!! I would highly recommend Corktown Health to everyone! Thanks for everything guys!!
I use to really love this place as I had gotten my HRT first prescribed here and they would help me with my injections weekly since i had severe needle phobia. This was until COVID19 happened and i was told my insurance would be charged so they could fund the clinic but it was oONLY being charged because theinsurance would COVER IT. I said “yes as long as I’m not charged” and the lady said yea no worries. Looking back I wish I had gotten a written statement. I trusted this clinic, the staff knew me and was friendly to me and i was there every week so I had trusted what they had said. I’m tearing up right now. They sent me a bill over $200 randomly 3 months ago out of the blue for all those injections they had given me free in the past and told me would be free. They charged me for a service telling me it would be free, knowing I was homeless / in an abusive unstable living situation. Now they say I can’t come back until that bill is paid. They don’t believe me about the woman that told me it wouldn’t be charged. Ngl I’m crying now because I’m worried I won’t be able to access my HRT anymore. I don’t have that kind of money. It sucks because this is the most accessible friendly clinic there is. If you decide to go which i do recommend in a way, GET A WRITTEN STATEMENT OF ALL CLAIMS. I’m crying right now i don’t really know what I’m gonna do. I really trusted this place.
I have not had a good history with doctors at all in my life. This has been the one clinic I have been truly comfortable at. I used to have a panic attack going to the doctors but here I feel calm and cared for. I have been going here for a year now and it has been the best care I have ever gotten.
This is immoral and inhumane to perform these types of medical procedures on youth who have been brainwashed into thinking they are trans. Seek real medical help. HRT is not going to help with anxiety and mental health.
