The Cornwall Borough Police Department is a full-service Municipal Law Enforcement agency serving the citizens and visitors of Cornwall Borough, West Cornwall Township and Mt. Gretna Borough, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.
The members of the Cornwall Borough Police Department are dedicated and committed to providing the highest quality police services to our citizens. We are dedicated to the concept of personal excellence at the highest level, uncompromising integrity, and continuous improvement in order to enhance public safety, protection of life and property, and the reduction of crime and the perceptions of crime.
We will fulfill this mission by developing a partnership with the community in a manner that inspires confidence and trust by heightening and educating our citizens on crime and drug prevention awareness through active neighborhood unity and partnerships between the police department, local businesses and the community we serve. The Cornwall Borough Police department is a 24/7 Police Department and host to numerous community educational programs and events.
Our most rounded program that we host is the R.A.D. System of Self Defense. We currently have 3 certified R.A.D. instructors. Relatively new to Lebanon County, R.A.D. is an acronym for Rape Aggression Defense (for Women), Resist Aggression Defensively (for Senior Citizens) and Resisting Aggression Defensively (for KIDS). All 3 Instructors are certified to teach R.A.D. Women, radKIDS & R.A.D. for Seniors. The National RAD Systems web site is: www.rad-ys.com
The D.A.R.E. curriculum is taught in our local elementary school by a certified D.A.R.E. officer. Prior to entering the D.A.R.E. program, officers undergo 80 hours of special training in areas such as child development, classroom management, teaching techniques, and communication skills.
The Cornwall Borough Police Department is host to the largest annual National Night Out event in Lebanon County held annually on the 1st Tuesday of August.
Additionally, we provide motor vehicle V.I.N Etching services, Child Safety Seat installations & inspections, and a children’s bicycle rodeo, in addition to numerous public safety presentations throughout the year.
