Coronado high is a poor quality school with biased staff members. I got dress coded for wearing a Slayer tee. Yet the rich popular and "pretty" girls wore short shorts, thin strap shirts and skirts. I only ever wore pants or overalls that went to my knees. I never wore anything revealing. My freshman year I got in trouble for having blue hair, they called it a distraction. Even though everyone said that it wasn't because I've been dying my hair since middle school. Everyone was used to my dyed hair, teachers loved it and it never distracted any of my classmates. Same with my Slayer tees. The students who deserve to be dress coded don't because they look good in shorts and I don't. Because they get good grades. I had a B/C average, that is better than any of those snobs, considering they don't do their own work and copy off of students like me.
I remember Coronado high school at El Paso Texas , In the 1992 was the best high school all El Paso Texas, Also the best sports teams. It was a very good math teacher Mrs Villalobos . Another teacher was very good economic and very good football head coach Don Brooks. This 2000's still good high school all El Paso Texas. I was class of 1995 Coronado high school at El Paso Texas. Go T-Birds!!!
The registration process going on right now is the worst I have ever seen. The leadership at Coronado currently is clearly incompetent. The disorganization is unacceptable for a school of this size and a city of this size. They are clearly still operating in the 20th century. Other high schools are not experiencing any issues like this. The current principal is obviously unqualified to handle the situation. It is a good school with good teachers, but this registration disaster clearly shows a lack of leadership.
My experience at CHS was one to remember. I had such a great time while being here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful educational environment. The Student Council and band are exceptional and don't forget about the IB program as well! The best in El Paso!! Come here now!
Best place to go to high school in El Paso. Great math depar...GREAT math department. And History. And English. And Science. Better than Franklin no doubt
Horrible staff They were not helpful or friendly at all. Going to Coronado seems like they have no organization. We took our kid to Franklin instead.
