Started in 2008 by Dr. Howard Dixon. Dr. Megan Burns joined the practice in 2013. Coronado Pediatric Dentistry provides dental care for children of all ages in a fun environment.

"Kid-friendly, space-themed pediatric dental office conveniently located to serve patients from the Coronado community and surrounding San Diego areas. We are accepting new patients and work directly with and accept most PPO insurance plans, including Tricare for our military families. Patients enjoy playing on iPads in the reception area's Saturn planet room and watching movies on mounted screens above each chair during their visit."

My 10 year old needed 2 baby teeth extracted as well as a filing. Dr Swimmer and her team were phenomenal in keeping my girl comfortable and were able to complete the procedures so fast. We love their themed office and how clean everything was. As a parent, I really appreciated being able to observe and really appreciated their teamwork. Thank you for making a scary visit so pleasant.

My two-year-old son loves going here! He excitedly asks, "Is it the kids' space dentist?!" whenever he learns we have an appointment now. The staff has been so professional and comforting through every step of the process. I am a first-time parent and new to the area. The staff kindly educated me not only on my son's dental health but took the time to help me to become familiar with the area i.e. parking, traffic, things to do, etc. They talked my son through his visit step by step and even asked for permission to begin followed by waiting for him to be ready. Very important elements for building trust and positive experiences. I also was not shamed, guilted, or pressured for my health choices and parenting practices. Let's face it, brushing, flossing, snack choices, breastfeeding/pacifier/bottle/this cup, not that cup, and when to see a dentist in today's culture are not exactly universally known or agreed upon. So, finding a place that provides treatment options, supports your choices, AND expertly performs is truly astronomical yes, that's a space-theme pun.

The place is the best, the receptionist is the one of the nicest person, beside Dr Dixon, there was another girl who clean my youngest son teeth and she was great and very patients,,,,,thank you so much. How ever a female dr who took care of my oldest very disappointing, she is so aggressiveridewhen cleaning and hurt my sons mouth and lips, did not like her at all, never again will see her. No miss understanding the place is the greatest with great staff…. Happy holidays

Dr Rachel and the dental assistants are amazing and so friendly. Their patience is much appreciated!

Dr. Dixon is the best! He saw my saw on very short notice to fix his front tooth. During a busy holiday week, he worked him into the schedule and fixed his front tooth! We appreciate so much having a dentist like Dr. Dixon in Coronado!

We will not take our Little one to any dentist other than Dr Rachel. She is incredible.

As a child I never enjoyed going to the dentist. Yet my 2yr old, 6 yr old and now almost 8 yr old do, even still and the older two have been going since they were my youngest age. It’s fun, they get entertained, they are explained everything that’s going to happen in a fun and simple way they can understand and they enjoy everyone who works there! Love Coronado Pediatric Dentistry and will continue to go there with our fourth little one too!

Absolutely amazing staff. They truly put my 2.5 year old at ease for his first actual teeth cleaning. I am so thankful to have found such an amazing office that truly knows how to interact well with young kids and their nervous parents!.
