Signed up for the guided hike. We met at the gas station and was told it was the last place to get snacks and use the restroom. Was told that the guide would wait but after using the restroom really quickly they were already leaving. Ran to my truck but after waiting at the stop sign they were gone. The directions she gave were very vague. Please wait for everyone next time or give the coordinates for where everyone is going. Was really looking forward to this :.
I am glad people cannot hike in and eventually trash it. I know a property owner there and knew one in the 1980s. We rode horseback through there. One time i was walking on the top on a windy day and that wind had uncovered a small white arrowhead. I still have it. Antelope and mule deer abound.
The area is only open for guided hikes that need to be signed up for in advance on their website. The area is still currently being studied for it's important fossil discoveries and not fully open to the public yet. It's absolutely beautiful and shows so much of the different landscapes of Colorado all in one place.
I think "Corral Bluffs" is a euphemism for the Colorado Springs Municipal Landfill that lures tourists and people who don't know any better into a local inside joke. Google took me straight to a locked gate next to the dump. I think this is kinda like putting The Fountain of Youth on the map somewhere outside of Orlando. I'd love to be proven wrong tho, the pictures look beautiful!
While looking for fossils we came across the fossils of dragons. Proving that dragons did indeed occupy Colorado millions of years ago.
Great place to bike and hike. Walk for wildlife, but amazing place to walk your dog too.
Amazing area but closed to the public. Schedule a guided hike with the Corral Bluffs Alliance.
Can we go to the hospitAL gym with her in the middle of the year of college team is going to be so happy for you guys
Where is the entrance? GPS took me to a field with no trails
