‘Brunch’ with friends, but alas, no brunch menu outside of drinks. I ordered the overloaded bloody marry; for food, I went with masala chicken tacos and side cup of Thai coconut curry soup. Soup had nice flavors, and tacos had moist chicken & and light masala spices. Everything was quite tasty.
We stopped in the Cosmo Cafe on just a whim as we driving by on Peoria. And much to our pleasure our lunch Salads were absolutely marvelous, our waiter was most attentive, and we loved the Upscale Chic atmospheric. Oh and by the way On a Whim used to be two doors down, but it closed permanently here while back
I love going to Cosmo. The staff is great, the drinks are affordable, and the food is amazing. I've never been disappointed by the food I've ordered, which is rare to be able to say about any restaurant. They also have free wifi, which is great.
Fun atmosphere, games to play, friendly staff, good food, great drinks!
I had a bowl of the Coconut Thai Soup $7, which was basically a cream of tomato soup with a small amount of coconut milk. It was okay for its simplicity, but I was expecting something similar to a panang. My wife had the Panini Milano 9, it was an okay sandwich, but also simplistic without originality. The cheese and bread could have been better quality, and there was only one or two thin slices of the turkey on the sandwich.
This place has super good food. French bread pizza and nacho appetizers, yummy! Sounds so simplistic, but they add so much flavor and a little twist oi n everything making it really good. Might seem a little pricey, but i feel it's worth it for the flavors they give. The service is usually pretty good. I haven't had any major issues, but there has been a time or two when my hubs and I felt ignored. Otherwise, I'd give this place 5 stars. The place is always very clean! And I love the option to sit outdoors, but still being completely covered. They just open up the back wall and it separates from the rest of the restaurant so inside people don't feel the weather from the outside. I remember when they had the underwear run down Peoria and my friends and I sat outside enjoying our meal and the race that was right in front of us.
Cute establishment. I have had several visits here. Some better than other, depending on waitstaff/bartenders. Most all of the bartenders are knowledgeable on their products and mixing skills. Waitstaff is a little different, quick in and out order, less talking and not as knowledgeable on their menu or drink items. I recommend sitting at the bar and getting the full experience. Easy parking in the back of the establishment or street parking. Bathrooms available and clean.
Had ham & Brie cheese with potato salad, very good. Another person had Thai chicken pizza, also good, served on a roll cut in half. Lots of melted cheese on top. Friendly staff & quick service. Reasonably priced. Went there for lunch. Has parking in back with an entrance in the back as well. Definitely would recommend & return visit.
Unfortunately, I have never had a good experience here and I won't be coming back after my experience last Sunday. I have been here about once a year because I really want to like it and the food is good, but the service is bad enough that the food can't make up for it. We arrived shortly after 1 p.m. on Sunday and there were 4 other tables of people, but not very busy. It was almost 10 minutes until the waitress stopped by to get our drink order. We asked if there was any fruit in the chicken curry salad and she said that she didn't know, but if she had to guess, she thinks probably not. She didn't offer to go ask anyone else or find out. We saw her when she took our drink order, food order, and brought the check. Our drinks were empty for most of the time we were there. All of the servers went straight to their tables and back to the hostess stand to chat. None of the other servers ever looked at us or offered the water pitcher they were carrying to other tables. The bartender stood behind the bar on his phone the entire time we were there. From what we could see, the only people doing work were the kitchen and the hostesses who bussed all of the tables for the servers while the servers were chatting in the host stand.
My favorite place to take visitors. Their varied menu has something for everyone. They have a fantastic list of fresh cocktails, nice wines, and wide variety of beers, but the atmosphere is far from a bar and grill restaurant or a swanky happy hour joint. The atmosphere is unique - casual yet special, laid back and chill yet you wouldn't expect to hear a loud table, upscale enough where you'd like to look nice to go yet not so much that's you'd feel awkward sporting your your yoga pants. Walk into great vibes, get served a delicious meal at a reasonable price, and enjoy a lovely experience - Always a good choice, so this place is a great go to option when a group is trying to make a selection. Gluten free and vegan options are listed on the menu. They work very well with people who have allergies and special flood requirements. I enjoyed their outside sitting my most recent visit.
