Everyone here is so sweet and they care so much about their guests. The sites are beautiful and huge. The pool area and bathrooms are kept really clean. The store has everything you forgot for really reasonable prices. It's nice that they include activities for guests. My family will definitely be back again and again.
We had such a nice weekend staying here! This was our first trip coming and will not be our last!! Can not wait to come back next camping season and enjoy this wonderful place ! The staff are all so nice, they pick up your trash bags if you set them out, bathrooms are clean and very nice compared to some we have seen. So many things for family do and the dog area is great for those who have furbabies. We loved taking our dogs on a walk down by the river and around the park. They loved every minute. Thank you for a wonderful place to call home for the weekend!
We liked how the sites allowed groups and you could park as a group however your campers fit. Nice pool and splash pad for the kids. An arcade and store with goodies. The river is close so there is tubes and kayaks to rent. They also had kids activities on Saturday morning.
We do a big group camp there every year. Always have a great time. Good sized sites and always a good experience with the campground owners. Some nice improvements over the last year or two as well. Added concrete pads and updated sewer hook ups on some sites. Absolutely love the big sand play area for the kids and the new fenced dog area. Only real knock is the road in/out of the campground. Pretty rough. Plan to keep going back for years to come.
8/13/2022 - The staff was polite when we arrived and when we asked for a refund due to leaving early. But unfortunately the campground was WHOLLY UNACCEPTABLE for the following reasons: a the water was brown see picture of the brown streak left in our toilet from the water, b the water had a VERY pungent metallic smell we noticed our neighbor who is one of the ‘seasonal guests’, i.e. residents had a very elaborate water filtration system; c the bathrooms were very dirty when we used them in the late morning, and d some sites are occupied by ‘seasonal’ guests, i.e. residents displaying signs with their political views. All the signs express the same message so if it is not consistent with yours, you may not feel comfortable next door to your neighbor. Given how volatile our current political environment has become the owners have to be tone deaf or simply don’t care if these signs have the potential to make some people feel uncomfortable. These signs are in front of vehicles anchored in the ground, etc., meaning on the campground property not the property of the resident/seasonal guest. A campground is for the enjoyment of every paying guest. When I am camping, I want to enjoy nature and relaxation, I don’t want political messages staring at me in the face. This place caters to the locals and NOT travelers. LASTLY – this campground has an ALARMING PROBLEM with box elder bugs. These are beetles associated with box elder trees which are very prevalent at this campground. We left our trailer with all windows, etc. shut, for one afternoon and we came back to at least 200 of these beetles INSIDE our trailer. These bugs are big and they fly! It was horrendous! It has been 5 days since we left and we are still killing these bugs in our trailer. We have been travelling the US for the past several months and we have never encountered a campground so awful. UPDATE 8/29/22 - For the past several days we have been killing MANY new tiny/baby beetles that have been a product of the disgusting eggs that these things left in our trailer. So the problems encountered at this campsite will haunt us for sometime. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE
Tent camping riverside has been awesome. Right on the river with plenty of things to do to keep the kid busy all day. Great place. Great staff.
Lovely campground we booked for our first trip in new camper. The staff was more than helpful and were very accommodating. The sites and facilities were very clean. The kids want to go back.
Wonderful place, very happy with our stay. The owners and staff are very amazingly accommodating, Patti is very knowledge of many things including the history of the area and was as happy to share it with us as we were to learn it! Thanks for the wonderful weekend!
Great campground with lots of amenities. Family friendly, clean, fun.
We had a great time here for the weekend. Friendly staff. Nice facilities. Pool and splash pad and games for kids were great. Our spot was a really nice size. The only drawback were a lot of little beetles a various times of the day but that's what nature's all about and they didn't bite or anything so no biggie. We would definitely stay here again.
