At Country Day we use individual attention and the best of Montessori principals to nurture potential and bring out the best in our young students.
CDM encourages independent, self-directed learning for life in a child-centered community valuing peace, respect for others, and pride in individual differences.
Our children leave us with a love for learning! From their experiences with us they have gained:
• the self confidence that they can learn
• an attitude that learning is enjoyable and fun
• that they have the right to make a mistake
• that we learn from our mistakes
• an ability to approach a learning task logically
• an ability to listen and follow directions
• good eye-hand coordination
• social skills which enable the child to cooperate and get along with other children—but, most important, an attitude of respect for others.
These qualities, abilities, and attitudes remain with our children as they continue their learning experiences either in the public education system or the Montessori Elementary system.
Two preschool programs (full/half time) plus Elementary School for First through Third Grade.
