Super tired and getting twitchy having drove all day from D.C.. Staying off the toll roads. Wanted something "clean" to eat. An old high school friend brought me to Roots last year. It might seem a little pricey for some products. But the quality is top notch. At least on the products I've purchased. Nice selection of gluten free items. I guess you can get a membership for 50$ but didn't dig into the details since I'm not staying too much longer in the area. Stop in and grab some take away. You'll be glad you did.they have a great selection of specialty teas. 3 for 25$
Easy to purchase a gift card for my college student. Love their selection of gifts, seasonal produce and the coffee shop.
Staff is friendly, great selection if Gluten-Free products. Wide aisles in main room.
Great grocery store. Little bit expensive because most of the products are organic and farmers get their share by selling the products here. Recently an Indian food started to sell and I love it.
My kids and I thoroughly enjoy this store. If Local art and food is your thing, this is your place. We have been coming here for over three years for Linda’s Local Thyme chocolate and peanut butter cookies. They. Are. To. Die. For. Best cookie of your life!
I always stop at Local Roots when I’m in Wooster visiting family. I pick up local produce and flowers for my hosts and grab a vegetarian / vegan lunch from the various daily chefs or prepared food section.
Local organic produce, meat, dairy, artwork. Awesome lunch options. Definitely check it out.
The folks who work here are absolute gems! Always willing to answer any questions you may have. Love the fact that you are shopping local and shopping in season. Great place to grab gifts or for some shopping for yourself. My favorites are the teas, ceramic, jewelry, dried lavender, and fresh flowers! I’ve only had their breakfast sandwiches, but their menu looks great!
Local Roots has improved their services greatly since I had been there about 7 years ago. They have a wonderful selection of coffee which I bought 3 bags. It was so great! I also bought some Amish half-n-half which was all natural!no artificial ingredients, non-GMO, and came from grass fed cow's. The store has expanded to having a coffee shop, and they serve food items such as sandwiches. The staff was friendly and professional. There are a plethora of items available for the needs of everyone. If you are from Wooster or out of town, come visit this store! I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Good vibes and good food!
I stop here whenever I’m in the area. It is such a treat for a California-grown vegetarian to find so many wonderful options of healthy food, many produced locally here in Ohio. There are so many options for different dietary preferences. I often pick up pierogis, snacks, cereal, tea, spices and other specialty products. Staff is always kind and friendly, following health ordinances which make me feel safe. The lunch options are wonderful, and I always find another new product I want to try! And it’s so cool that they are a coop, if I lived closer I would definitely join.
