"Spacious Skies Country Oaks Campground rests within the countryside of the Pine Barrens region of southern New Jersey, just an hour from Philadelphia and Wilmington, DE, and only 30 miles from the Atlantic City boardwalk.Find peace at our campground which is due south of the Wharton State Forest and surrounded by other wildlife management areas that dot the protected ecoregion. We offer back-in and pull through sites that can accommodate all sized RVs and trailers! Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, 30 or 50-amp electrical service, and sewer. This campground is great. We have been coming here every since spacious skies took over and we have zero complaints. The sites we get are nice, this year they added some nice chairs at the fire pits. Jim is a great employee. Helped us out with our issues and got us back up and running in no time. The rest of the staff is also wonderful and pleasure to deal wi. Will definitely be back.
We moved 11 years ago from another campground which had been bought out by a corporation to family-owned Country Oaks. After nine years of happy camping the campground was sold to Spacious Skies. Obviously, there was consternation as our previous experience with corporations was not positive and the root cause for our move to Country Oaks. Despite the mass exodus of other seasonals over the last two years a group of us decided to stay. Although last year 2022 was rough, this year has been wonderful. With the appointment of a new manager, excellent staff and the injection of money into upgrading/adding facilities this campground is quickly becoming a first class operation. Michelle has been a wonderful manager and with her promotion the replacement manager of Sadie is a an excellent choice. Last but not least, Jimmy is the best - so amenable, helpful and always upbeat. My only criticism/request would be a return to more nighttime activities on Saturday nights for adults - such as dances with live bands, nighttime swims with DJ and family events.
We found this campground back in April. We went to the open house and met the wonderful staff not to mention won a gift basket lucky us!!! Our first stay was over Mother's Day weekend and by gosh what a marvelous time. Michelle, Patty, and the entire staff are so incredibly friendly and helpful. So helpful we booked another stay for Memorial Weekend. Again another glorious stay. The staff were everywhere. There was never a time if we needed anything that Michelle was always right there to help. That is what we noticed the most, the staff was always present and we got to know them so much when they would drive by we would always get a wave from whoever it was. By the end of our stay we were on a first name basis and truly felt at home, just like family. Our next trip is the end of July We told Michelle we were reluctant to put a review out because we wanted to keep this little gem to ourselves. But she and her staff deserve to be recognized for a job well done. We know they will do whatever possible to get us in when we need a fix of Spacious Skies.
Found this little gem while planning a trip to NYC and Philadelphia. We camp 4-5 times a year this will be one of our regular spots now!!! Sites are spacious and clean. Bathroom/showers are clean with plenty of amenities to not have to wait in line. Pool is pristine, maintained every 2 hours. The camp store had what your looking for in a camp store. Very friendly attentive staff they go above and beyond for the campers definitely make you feel at home. Michelle I just want to say thank you for loving what you do... Thank you for being so great to your fellow employees it shows how much they want to be a part of spacious skies! Also it made my heart happy to see the handicap chair for the pool?!
We just stayed here for Memorial Day, we had 9 family’s in camp sites, we had a blast, Michelle helped us with our group reservations she was fantastic even met her once we got there. Most sites are very spacious with lots of shades. The newer sites don’t have much shade but have concrete pads 30amp only The pool was chilly but a great size, kiddie pool was perfect, the jumping pillow was open all day long which was great , the mining was super fun. The playground was also enclosed and it was new, it was wonderful not having to worry about the little ones taking off. Entertainment was great too. They even had an enclosed dog park. We enjoyed it we booked again for July .
A really nice spot, we stayed for 6 days. Spent most of the time at their awesome pool. Our site was so big, we really loved that. We were able to enjoy our huge site and not feel like anyone was on top of us.The only thing that we didn't like, is that the closest stores are like a 15 minute ride away, which isn't real bad. And the showers are not real good, hardly any pressure. Besides them minor things we loved it there. They even posted a birthday sign outside our site for my birthday. Would def recommend this camp grounds to anyone
Great campground!! My husband travels frequently for work and stayed here for about 2 months. I also went and stayed here for a week with my son and 2 dogs. The campground is beautiful, quiet and in a great location. New management is also super friendly and accommodating. I spoke with Michele numerous times on the phone as well as a few times in person. She is such a pleasure to talk to, and my husband has said the front desk staff are also friendly and helpful. They are renovating and making updates to the campground, so it is a work in progress, but we loved it as it was. The dog run is a bit small, but was good enough for our two hyper cattle dogs to run around in. We would absolutely visit again in the future for a vacation!
Water wars weekend here was so much fun! This campground has become our favorite. We’ve stayed several times and have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Sites are clean and spacious, The pool is wonderful, and the kids love the bounce pillow. The staff is wonderful and the seasonal campers are friendly.
Best campground in South Jersey, I usually don’t write reviews but I had to. The pool was so beautiful and the biggest pool we’ve seen with a 5ft deep end perfect for kids. Retro Camper was so cute! Railroad deli was delicious for dinners. Water weekend was a blast! We can’t wait to come back.Rooms: 5/5
Our first time to this campground. Spacious, shaded sites and very well kept up. The pool was perfect. The showers and bathrooms were also very clean. The staff?, You won't find friendlier or more helpful people anywhere. We did have a camping neighbor who thought the whole campground needed to hear their music, and the staff courteously and professionally dealt with them,even while being yelled at and told they didn't have to turn it down. We will definitely visit again.
