County Seat Cafe

I've only lived in town almost 4 months and this was the first time I got to go in and eat dinner with my family and I enjoyed myself. The food was good, prices were reasonable and staff were great. Looking forward to going back. Keep up the good work and don't change anything about the fried mushrooms! They are AMAZING!!!!!!

I just love this place!!! Met the owner and she was very nice. Waitress are just like family there. They take very good care of your needs. If you are ever in Groveton, Texas, you HAVE to stop by there and get some GREAT food!!!

Servers were super sweet, atmosphere warm and welcoming. Not many menu options for someone with celiacs; heavy on the fried. Even the fries were coated, and the flavor was of oil more than seasonings. The pork chop didn’t have any flavor and was chewy. I wanted to to love this more.

Drive up was not appealing but the reviews brought us in anyway. The inside is much more attractive. I had the chicken fried steak and Diane had the much recommended shrimp. The chicken fried steak was very good. Tender and just the right size steak, hand breaded and tasty. The shrimp was also handbreaded and very tender. Overall it was great except for one thing. With all the handmade food they serve instant mashed potatoes. Yuck! That is a true culinary crime. Change that and you've got a great diner.

This is one of my favorite places in town! If you're driving through and get real hungry, you've got to try this place out!! Everyone is so sweet and welcoming! The atmosphere is home town country. They have funny little signs up everywhere that I love to read. I always end up finding one I didn't see before, even though I go often for lunch. The ladies there are the best! I have a "usual". I don't even need a menu anymore. The food is soooo good! Best mom and pop restaurant in the county. Love it.

Throughly enjoyed our meal today. Our server, sorry I didn't get her name, was great. We will definitely be back next time we ride through town.

Kinda expensive, menu options aren't that great unless you alcarte everything together and then it's $16.00 for breakfastFood: 3/5

Small town, big taste chicken fried chicken was amazing! With their mashed potatoes and gravy? AMAZING!!!

Food was good. It wasn’t amazing, but it wasn’t bad. The parking lot is rather hard on your car, and the food is a little pricy for being in a really small town. However, I would say it’s worth stoping in and trying out their menu if you happen to be in the area. This time I just went through the drive through as I was with my Grandmother. The interior looked quaint, and I would like to actually it down, if I happen to come through this area again.
