Pleasant surprise! Portion was big and tasted good. I'm on my travel assignment in Livingston, Tx and finding decent food has been a struggle. I had the club with onion rings and a slice of buttermilk pie
Amazing small town cafe serving homestyle food. They had a breakfast buffet going through lunch which looked amazing. I was craving a chicken fried chicken. The portion was hearty and I couldn’t finish it. The batter was a real nice crisp, chicken was the size of small frisbee. Obviously one side had to be mashed potatoes and gravy and the other was fried okra. Also got the Texas toast and it was so nice and buttery. The appetizer was the largest bowl of fried pickles ever served with a big cup of ranch. It was awesome. We also had a patty melt and club and those were both very tasty as well. If you are in Livingston one more seriously stop in here. Super friendly down home staff that was extremely welcoming.
The service was awesome! They try to make you feel comfortable and valued. The food was good, and pancakes huge! They also have a salad bar for lunch, but we were a little early for that. Finally, the place has its own charm and history on the walls.

Nice place for a late breakfast/early lunch. Not busy for a Saturday. Delightful staff. PIE!
I love the Breakfast Tacos with Sausage. They are so good!! Price of $8.99 for 3 Large Tacos + 1 Potato Side - you can't beat that! I think they were initially a special menu item, but it looks like they're here to stay hopefully. If you're like me and want to add some spiciness to your breakfast tacos, the restaurant has Cholula available. The waitresses and other staff are pretty great here. Very friendly and attentive. Your food order always comes out quick and it's always fresh.
We went to this cafe for the first time this last Friday. We walked in and stood there and was looking around to see if we needed to seat ourselves or be seated. A customer turned around and said we could seat ourselves so we sat down. One of the servers walked by the cash register and I believe said something about us just sitting down to her coworkers. She took our order and brought our drinks. We had a couple of questions and our server was not real friendly and seemed to be in a hurry and not happy with being there. Our food took about 45 minutes to get and the presentation and taste was not the best. While we were eating, there were women standing around the cash register talking negatively about some people. I'm not sure if the people were coworkers or others, but it was very unprofessional and within earshot of numerous customers. Then we got our check, I thought it was pretty high for what we got. When I went to pay, I asked for a menu so I could look at the prices again, I used the excuse that I was thinking about ordering something to go and our server and a couple of other staff that were standing there said we are closed and have been closed, we are not taking any to go orders and I said ok and decided not to look at the menu. So in summary, the service was terrible, their attitudes were terrible, the time it took to get our food was terrible, and the food taste and quality was probably a four out of ten. Needless to say, we will not be back.
Everything about this place is amazing food, atmosphere, service best food I've had in a long time definitely will be back Jessie and Lisa we're extremely helpful and informativeFood: 5/5
Stopped for lunch, it is real country, homey inviting. We were able to set where we wanted. Viny, our waitress was so very friendly and quick. I ordered the BLT and my husband got the Philly Steak sandwich and then topped it off with a dessert. The food was delicious and served at the right temperature. We will definitely be back.
An adorable antique shop and restaurant combined, this quaint place is a must for all to enjoy. The breakfast was fantastic and affordable, the waitresses were helpful and friendly, and the antique selection was vast and fantastic.
