We just found this park driving around, and it was amazing what ppls can do with tires and wood,great slidings,just be careful with the long slice
Currently I would not recommend youutilzing this park for children. Most of the wood is splintering and weathered and unsafe to the point that they have a sign that says use at your own risk. Evidently they are going to rebuild the park in October of 2023. So looking forward to that and expect it to be much better after that.
I wanted so badly for this park be the answer to my past. But unfortunately this park just didn't do it for me. I did love the original look of a wooden playground, but it was run down. It looks like homeless people take shelter here at night which would make sense since it's very sheltery looking. It was saddening. I heard one parent comment about there being dog poo in the car shaped playground equipment. Eww. It had jagged wood which my little guy nipped his finger on. . It is being replaced in October which I know it will never be the same as this park but from my perspective it was in rough shape. The only thing that this park has going for itself is people made cute little gardens. There's a large rolling hill/picnic in the grass area, and the fact there's a library. Other than that , I was not impressed.
Unfortunately this is not what it used to be.... Still a big park. Still has the slide kids have loved for many generations. Just not the same anymore. Weeds and ants fill the play area. Graffiti on the wood and slide. All the original staples are still here just not well maintained over the years. Old worn out zip lines that hang a little too low, do not use unless you want a skinned knee. Tire swing is still up as well. Please watch out for the type of families you may encounter. Kids who climb up the slide. Parents who don't watch their children. Scantily dressed young adults you may not want your child exposed to. Children not playing on equipment properly etc. For example one child today thought it was a great idea to come down the slide with the scooter pictured. Child let go of scooter almost hurting other kids. 1 adult injured as the heavy scooter picked up speed and hit adults foot. Child's parents nowhere in sight. Not sure that I can recommend nor want to return. Much nicer playgrounds in Cleveland Heights. There's a lot of nostalgia here if you are familiar but it's a bummer this is what it is now. #TiaTriedIt
My kids had a blast there and made a new friend to call whenever we are in town. I love the neighborhood as well. I will say to be careful with your little ones on that big slide. If you've been there, you already know. My 9 year old got hurt pretty badly on it.
It was a cute park, mostly built out of wood and tires. My 6 year old enjoyed it. However, most of it seemed good for older kids. It was hard to watch my 2 year old and lots of places that seemed a dangerous for her. It was also very overgrown with weeds.
Nice park, but runned down. It needs be cleaned up. There was broken glass, trash, rust, and broken tore and wood pieces. Definitely needs revitalization.
Always fun for my kids, they call it the "wood park" we visit a lot each summer
The Coventry PEACE park is a nice center to get together with lots of people, beautiful green space.
My son loved it! The library brought out a basketball hoop, chalk and crayons too!
