Service was awesome and the restaurant was very clean and well put together. Bless it, I don't think it's their fault that the food was bad but man there was a real lack of seasoning on EVERYTHING. I have never in my life been to a cracker barrel and not loved the food but there's a first time for everything. I will say that they serve alcohol and that blew my mind because we don't have that back home and the peach mimosa is literally the best thing I tasted at that table. 10/10 on the drinks! Kid-friendliness: The menu is very kid friendly and had a lot of options for the littles to pick from.
My Young Beautiful Bride and I visited the Cracker Barrel, North of Shelbyville on HWY 9. We absolutely enjoy visiting many different places in our travels but this is a favorite. The waitress is constantly attentive and respectful, the food is perfectly prepared and delicious. We have never had a problem or complaint with any Cracker Barrel and we will definitely be visiting this place in the future.
Refreshed menu which was needed. Breakfast is reliable and good. Coffee is too weak and not good. Now, a large milk consists of only one small carton half pint. I had to pay for another large milk to fill my one glass! Not impressed.Food: 3/5
Nice place to have a meal. Quickly seated, service was prompt. My order was the Grandma Sampler Breakfast. The problem was that I ordered crispy bacon and plain hash browns. When my order was brought to my table the bacon was very far from crispy and the hash browns were hash brown casserole. Our waitress was extremely good as well as very pleasant and took care of the situation and I was hooked up with the correct food items as ordered within just a few minutes. Unfortunately it took my husband a little longer for his hash browns to arrive. We were almost done with breakfast by the time they reached our table. Since we will probably never return to this location I will not be able to tell you if this situation improved with my next visit. I do feel this person plating our orders was probably just having a bad day. The food was extremely tasty. This location is so far away from our home. We were traveling today and this was off the I 74 interstate.
Food and service was great. I hadn't been to cracker barrel since my mom passed away eleven years ago. It was here favorite place go. It was comforting and brought back some great memories. Will be back in my rotation of restaurantsFood: 5/5
Good food. Service was so-so. But food was good.
Waiter was fabulous. My beans had plastic in them. Never offered to compensate my food I won’t be back Atmosphere typical Cracker Barrel so that’s always nice.
Decided to treat the family to a dinner that we didn't make ourselves. So we went to Cracker Barrel. Last time I went was in the mid 90's & I wasn't all that impressed then. But things change - once in a while for the better. I was decidedly unimpressed with the layout - basically you have to wait in the store to be seated in the restaurant. I'm sure that's on purpose as they'll hope to sell something. But for a new customer? Angst & confusion. I was wondering if I was in the right place. Once we figured out where we needed to do & where to go, we finally arrived to be seated. The system for seating was impressive - the hostess was able to immediately find us some seats with no delay. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. It took a while for the server to stop and get our drinks - he passed us several times in the meantime. Not necessarily a big deal at first as we were planning on taking some time to order and told him so. But it was quite a while after we were obviously ready to order before he arrived. Finally he arrives to take our order. It is extremely loud and we have to repeat several times. The wife tries the trout, I have the fried Catfish, & the son gets the country fried steak. The wife gets mashed potatoes & gravy & green beans, I get turnip greens, fried okra, fried apples, and bacon mac-n-cheese. The son gets green beans and bacon mac-n-cheese. We also get a side order of shrimp. It takes some time, but our order arrives... it's all messed up. Neither of the fish dinners have tartar sauce. No fried okra they gave me mashed potatoes & gravy or fried apples. The green beans were bland and overcooked. The gravy wasn't too bad, but the potatoes were pasty and underwhelming. The only thing that was tasty was the fried shrimp. The meal is over & I noticed we didn't get the bread biscuit or corn muffin with butter that comes with the dinners. When I asked about it, the server told me HE DIDN'T THINK WE'D WANT IT! Would I like some to go? SERIOUSLY???. I went ahead & ordered a peach cobbler, a chocolate cake, and one of their $5 "meals to go". They bring them, BUT THERE'S NO BAG we had to ask!! While I don't have much expectation for food in places like this, I DO expect some semblance of service. The server should NEVER make decisions for the customer unless the customer chooses to let them. I might point out as well as we were never offered refills on our drinks until the meal was done. Long story short? I won't be going back... if the service is that bad, there's no reason to.
Busy but good! Our waitress made everything right that the kitchen got wrong and did so quickly. We had a table of 7 so it was alot of food, all brought at at once which I greatly appreciate, and all hot!Food: 5/5
This location was racist and disrespectful to food when you show up black! Me and my sister go to different locations every week. We enjoy the food. However at this location... from young man with glasses on host. We were not welcome. He tried everything to make us not schedule a spot on waiting list. We tried to over look him. Finally received a table. Told no silver available. We would receive with food. Seated. The server helped everyone around us. Even customer settled after me and my sister. I ask a server for help. The server got our server. She took the order. It was breakfast at 1:16 pm. Received the cold or old breakfast at 2:30pm. The pancakes were like plastic. I was hungry. I ate bacon and half cold egg. The waiter said she Remove pancake price but charge for bacon and egg. The sad part is the bacon and egg price was the same as price with pancake meal. Not sure what's going on with the waiter. But she chose the job. Customer service is for everyone. Not whites only anymore! That is one of black people reason they stop or don't go to crackle barrel now. Second location we have been treated like this at a crackle barrel.
