Most of the staff lack personality. From the hostess to the wait staff, they seem to be walking around with blank faces and not really saying anything to the guests/customers. They arent rude but not necessity friendly either. I watched them seat several tables without saying a word. Standout employees were Brianna. She's the only one I saw smiling and talking. The lead or manager unsure of position, I'm assuming because of the way she was directing other employees was cleaning and directing the others to do the same. She was a bit rough about her directions for my liking but nothing over the top. I ordered the cheesecake pancakes with over medium eggs and bacon. My husband ordered the grandpa breakfast. The food was good. My pancake plate appeared a little dirty.
If I could I’d give this place a ZERO. Worst food We have ever had. It was old and hard. It also took 45min to get. On top of all that it smells worse than a portable potty. My youngest got the sliders and her plate was covered in white hairs maybe fuzz IDK. Gross! $50 we will never get back not to mention hour of our lives. My husband was so upset he walked out.
We stopped for breakfast and it was so delicious. Everything. That's the best meal they have here. 11/12/22 just stopped for a bite on our way back from Hernando and I had breakfast at 4:30 in the afternoon. Was delicious. Love their patty smoke sausage.Food: 5/5
Delicious food, freshly made, reasonably priced. Wide variety to choose from. Service was an excellent.
I don't know if we got there at a bad time or it was just a slow day. First we didn't getting any Biscuits nor cornbread guess we had to ask for it. Food came out cold and the okra was hard. Bright side was the service was fast so I guess I can't complain about it.
If they seem packed...don't even bother stopping. My daughter and I sat there for 45 mins and no one ever said a word. No drinks, no "we'll be with you as soon as we can," just absolutely ignored. Im very disappointed. The only thing I can say is that the shopping side is worth it. Multiple items missing from our meals. Thankfully our waiter was super patient and understanding. With covid regulations there is no checkers and other games, which is a bummer but absolutely understandable. The shopping portion of the store is still in full swing and full of wonderful goodies!!
Portions are small. Our last waitress took forever to get our food on table. It was around 49 minutes after we put in food order that she finally brought us our food. We had to wait a good 25 minutes to even see our rolls and cornbread and the place had only a few diners. This was 820pm àt night so this wasn't dinner rush hour. Was ready to leave restaurant and go elsewhere considering long wait time and poor service
I don’t typically give bad reviews for business’ unless they really deserve it. Three to-go orders in a row now have taken over 45 minutes longer than estimated 1.5-2 hour wait times with one order missing half of the items and this last order actually never made it out of the kitchen- was told I’d get a refund which has not deposited back to my card yet. I suspect you may get better service dining in but highly suggest not ordering to-go.
I have tried to give them another chance over and over again. I waited over 30 minutes for my waitress to notify me that they were out of chicken what I had ordered. And T hey were not busy at all. Maybe 4 other tables had people at them. I requested the manager. She came out to see me. I told her what the waitress had told me. She said, "We are not out of chicken. I just dropped some on the fryer." I told her I did not want to wait another 30 minutes. I informed her that I had a coke while waiting. She actually gave me a receipt to pay. After holding me up for 30 minutes I felt they should have told me not to worry about it. I am not one to ask for anything free bit I could have already eaten somewhere else.
After an hour-wait on fried chicken and fish, we got ... Ice cold food, like ice cold. Cold fried chicken breasts with cold, congealed white gravy, and mashed potatoes so cold they resolidified. There is no excuse for this. The fish was hot, so clearly the fish was forgotten and the chicken sat in the window for an hour. Upside, server was quite nice - no management present. modest crowd. 1/3 of restaurant closed off, but 30-minute wait, so clearly short either wait staff of cooks, or both. Store was well well stocked with an impressive variety of products. Won't return.
