Craig, Kelley & Faultless LLC was established in 1999 by three attorneys whose work at another firm brought them together. The goal was to create a new firm uniquely dedicated to helping personal injury victims. The entire team is also dedicated to strengthening the community through legal action civic involvement.

APPOINTMENT:
Some law firms send non-lawyers to meet with clients initially. Obviously, non-lawyers cannot give legal advice. Normally, you want someone present who can answer your questions. Some other law firms do not conduct initial meetings in person. Some law firms send a packet of questions to answer, a contract, and other information through the mail. Consequently, you are forced to make a decision on a lawyer without meeting him or her.
At CRAIG, KELLEY & FAULTLESS, a lawyer will be happy to meet with you face-to-face to discuss your case at the initial meeting. In fact, we recommend that you meet with an attorney initially. We believe that this meeting is very important to the success of your claim. It is important to get all of the information needed. You deserve to have all your questions answered. In our opinion, lawyers should be able to meet with a client initially and anytime during the case. We understand that sometimes a client would prefer a telephone conference instead of a face-to-face meeting. We will, however, still have a lawyer conduct that telephone conference. We will also be happy to mail the documents to you if that is your preference.
STATEWIDE PRACTICE:
Does the law firm you are thinking of choosing have offices or meeting locations near you? Will they meet near your home or do they make you drive to them, despite the fact that you are injured? Will the law firm meet you in your home?
CRAIG, KELLEY & FAULTLESS practices injury law statewide. We have main offices in Indianapolis and Batesville, Indiana. We have satellite offices and meeting locations throughout the state. Even if you do not have an office or meeting location near you, we will come to you. We can meet nearby or in your home. If you prefer, we can handle most things over the telephone.
TRIAL:
Most cases settle. However, if your case does not, it makes sense to know that you have a trial attorney experienced in personal injury cases who is still actively going to court to try cases. A lawyer may call him or herself a trial lawyer, but never, or rarely, take a case to trial. You should know that. You should know whether the lawyer has ever handled a case like yours. You should know whether the lawyer has handled a case in your county. Remember, everyone has the right to a jury trial.
At CRAIG, KELLEY & FAULTLESS, we settle most of our cases without going to trial. However, we ARE trial attorneys and we DO try cases if necessary. Our firm tries cases on a regular basis. It is important for insurance companies to know that if they do not choose to be reasonable and settle, they will find themselves in the courtroom. We would love to discuss our firm's results and your case.
FEES:
Most personal injury and wrongful death lawyers work on a contingency fee basis. This means that the lawyer only gets paid if he or she gets money for you. The attorney takes a percentage of the amount you receive. If the lawyer does not get any money, then the lawyer does not get paid. This enables the average person to hire an attorney to represent them against insurance companies and other large corporations.
At CRAIG, KELLEY & FAULTLESS, we work on a contingency basis. We do not get paid unless and until we are able to collect money on your behalf. We never ask you for any money in advance or at any time until your claim is resolved.
PERCENTAGE:
You should know what percentage of the money you receive goes to the lawyer. The percentage charged by lawyers is not always the same. Some lawyers charge more than others.
At CRAIG, KELLEY & FAULTLESS, we charge only one-third of the amount collected if your case can be settled without the need for a lawsuit. Most cases settle without ever filing a lawsuit. Therefore, most clients pay one-third. With CRAIG, KELLEY & FAULTLESS you will always know in advance what the fees are and your fee agreement will be in writing.
EXPENSES:
In every personal injury claim, there will be expenses incurred by the attorney. The amount of expenses associated with the claim will increase at each state of the case. The way lawyers handle expenses varies from one lawyer to another. Some lawyers require clients to pay the expenses as the case proceeds. Some lawyers ask clients for retainers in advance to cover the expenses as they are incurred. Some lawyers make you responsible for the expenses even if they lose your case. Other lawyers may advance the expenses and only get repaid those expenses when they settle.
At CRAIG, KELLEY & FAULTLESS, we advance all expenses associated with your claim or lawsuit. You are never asked for any money while we process your claim. Our expenses get reimbursed only when you recover money from your claim. If, for some reason, you never receive any money, then you do not have to repay the expenses advanced by our firm.
