"Crane's Country Store is a true general store. Founded in 1889 and in the same location since 1926, Crane's is a 4th generation business. Crane's carries a wide variety of work and outdoor wear featuring brands like Filson, Carhartt, Wolverine, Pendleton, Buff, Stanley, The Normal Brand, Fjall Raven, Smartwool, Danner, Carolina, LaCrosse, DryShod, Dickies, Lee, and many others. Crane's is known for our 1 meat, 1 cheese, 2 dollar sandwiches on white bread. Come browse while surrounded by antiques and artifacts from the early 1900's. Sit around the potbellied stove and share a story or two. You'll be glad you stopped, and we hope will always come back."

Wow. What a store. Fell in love with it. Really nice items from clothing to hats to sauces, honey, fresh fruits, drinks, pickles, chocolates, souvenirs, spices and arms and ammunition. It also have gas station. The store is also decorated with some really antique items. The shop has restrooms which were very well made and maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Great country store. I live in a city now but in my childhood this is the type of store in my village. You need it, they have it from fresh sandwiches to work boots, candy to salsa. Fourth generation business, very welcoming and the cheapest gas around
Have been coming here for years every time we visit Missouri. Love the quaint charm and history of the place. Be sure to get. Cranes T-shirt and a bologna sandwich when you go. One meat-one cheese-one dollar with white grease. A must-see if you are in the area.
What a great store. You could spend hours in here looking at all the historic items hiding on the walls and ceilings. I do wish that the display cases were easier to view. Didn’t get any food but the sandwiches looked good. Great hunting, camping and outdoor wear and equipment. Worth a stop accords the state.
Super fantastic hole in wall, gem of a find on my road trip from St. Louis to Kansas City. Perfect rustic small mid town USA feel. I felt truly American spirit while shopping in the store. Wood creek floors, old wood floor planks, old world feel with modern amenities and lot's of charm. Great offering of products for any weather. Snack items galore. Local honey and good eats for a long trip. I hydrated with ice tea, purchased fruit, honey, and nuts for the road. Local offerings available. Shopped and looked at the warm flannel and snow boots. The owner was working that day. Very friendly and welcoming person. Loved the visit. Must stop on long trip.
Fantastic. Good job working against the flow of the WalMartisation of America. Prices are unfortunately too high to actually get sales though. A better business model might be to stuff the store less and keep inventory locked up where it can not be stolen so easily. I'm sure people go there purely for entertainment only then buy online.
Great little country store. Very friendly workers. Lots of what not. If your heading down 70 west you need to make this a stop it is just off the exit. They even have gas if you need to fuel up.
This place is the best. Their not lying either. Lots of boots and britches. Plenty of bullets. And the bologna is even better then you think, they make sandwiches for you, dollar for bologna, dollar for cheese. So 2$ white bread sammies. And the bologna is fresh sliced. its a small country store but it's actually pretty large with ALOT of stuff.. I bought a hat and it's my favorite thing I got from a STL vacation.
Wound up here by fate alone. Ran out of gas on the freeway, and coasted a mile to get here... And they have gasoline too! Exceptionally friendly owner, fair and good prices on all the goods.... And a great selection on goods. Hands down, this is the best hidden gem I've come across. If you need something, come and get it here.
This is a great place to visit. It has a lot to offer and sells $2.00 sandwiches if your hungry. Highly recommend you vist.
