Crazy Alan's Swamp Shack

First time here and I will be back! I loved the vibe. They had live entertainment which was cool. Wasnt expecting that. The place was pretty packed but we didn't have to wait because we sat in the bar area. The bar staff was attentive even though they were extremely busy. The food was delicious and it was served really quick. I highly recommend checking this restaurant out!

Excellent experience, outstanding service. We usually go there for afternoon drinks and oysters. I love their oysters Rockefeller, they are absolutely delicious and best around! And I sample them everywhere and always, since we live here, and even Galveston can’t compete. We always have a great time there, thank you! Outstanding !

First time here. Great atmosphere! Service was fast and friendly. Tried the seafood enchiladas. They were ok but not very flavorful. The dirty rice was great! The garlic potatoes I ordered as an additional side lacked any garlic flavor. In short I was disappointed with what I ordered but enjoyed the overall look of the restaurant. I will have to try them again, maybe it was an off day. To their credit, there is a lot to choose from on their menu.

Service was impeccable. Dylan had my drinks and food on the table within minutes of ordering. He even stayed after getting off to take care of us. Absolutely excellent!!!Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes

First time here. Normally I go to the Kemah location, but was closer to this one and stopped here. I got the snow crabs. Not very tasty as the ones in Kemah. Kinda disappointed, I love crab. I hate to complain but my husband insisted I say something and manager said that crab is fresh. It is brought in fresh on a daily basis. Will come back and try again sometime.

The food is very delicious, but the service bad. He keep came ask if everything good, but we should asked 5 times to get out drink. In the order have lobster & crab legs, he not gave us the cracker.

I'm going to be honest here. I am a very patient person and maybe this was a one off experience, but I just tried this location for the first time and had arguably my worst dining experience in probably 10 years. The appetizers were okay, no real complaints there. But the service was extremely slow. I had an empty drink sitting for probably 30 minutes. I ordered the fried seafood combo with onion rings and I was given a grilled fish platter nothing like what I ordered. Now honestly, would not have been a huge issue if our server would of checked on us soon as it turned out to be an easy fix the guy that brought the food grabbed the wrong plate. But our server didn't check on us for like 20 minutes or more after our food was delivered so I hadn't even had a chance to tell her of the issue and my friend was already almost done with his food and im still staring at the food I didn't order. Found a manager, politely explained the issue, just told him to cancel it because I didn't wanna wait longer. Well they ended up finding it in the kitchen and brought it out anyway, but it was still wrong. I didn't get the onion rings I ordered, I received fries instead and thats not as big of a deal for me but it wasn't what I ordered. All that and I still paid for a plate of food that was very late and not 100% correct.

Food is super delicious and extremely large portions. I recommend you come on an empty stomach, the corn bread with cinnamon butter, French fries and onion rings are also a home run.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: Yes

This place is a place you don’t want to pass up on! I have been living in friendswood for over 4 years and I remember when this place came in. I stop by yesterday for the first time 3/22/2022 and had to come back today3/23/2022! Each time we had a wonder waiter name Chauncey! He was attentive, very helpful with our orders, and made the overall swamp shack experience unforgettable! I highly recommend him when you come in! Swamp shack keep doing what you are doing the spicy boils are delicious and a trip worth coming back for! The drinks will also leave you just right!

Too bad there aren't more stars. An absolutely brilliant restaurant with unusual dishes. And the service was super nice and extremely friendly. Thanks for that.
