Crazy Sushi

First time customer or crazy sushi so I came in with no real expectations. The restaurant had an authentic feel to it and was well cleaned. Ordering was easy with tons of choices of sushi rolls. Once our order arrived I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. Some of the veggies used in my rolls seemed very under ripe and crunchy but otherwise everything was good. I would come here again.

The best sushi you can get around St. Louis! It’s locally owned 10+ years with original recipes for their specialty rolls. They also have plenty of non-raw rolls and entrees that are always cooked fresh to order! Staff are super kind and courteous and the owners are some of the most humble and kind people you’ll ever meet. I love the salmon skin hand rolls and their big mouth roll and their fried rice is always a go to! Also love their shrimp tempura and karate appetizers! You won’t be disappointed!

This was our first time visiting Crazy Sushi. We were in the area and they seemed interesting. When we arrived, there was a sign on the door stating cash only due to internet issues, so its hard to know if the crow that we experienced is the norm. That said, it was still surprisingly busy with only a few empty tables. The atmosphere is very nice. Dim, yet not so dim that you're squinting to see. It's a nice place for a date. The decorations were all very nice and reserved. The service was excellent. The few people we dealt with were exceedingly accommodating. It was also reassuring to hear the staff communicating in Japanese amongst themselves. We ordered one of the sushi boats due to it being one of their unique offerings and it was all excellent. The fish itself stood out for its great flavor. It's not something I get a chance to enjoy often when visiting sushi places. I definitely plan on returning.

Never a disappointment. The best fried rice in town, fresh seafood, full strength sake. We travel 15 miles out of our way even though there's several sushi places in our area just to go to this one.Food: 5/5

Sushi is always delicious. Nigiri options are always fresh and not skimpy. Good fish: rice ratio. House salad is meh with mostly bug chunks of iceberg, but the ginger dressing is very tasty. Could be a little thicker to coat the leaves better. Staff has always been friendly and efficient.Food: 5/5

Consistency, consistency, consistency. Each plate is delivered with a consistency and eye for detail thats impossible to comprehend unless you visit often and always. Something as simple as edamame? Always steamed perfect and never the wrong consistency. The grilled squid is simply beautiful. The sashimi is perfect in every way, including temperature. Its the same faces creating each meal year after year and it shows in every way. How about a quick lunch for under $20? Or knock yourself out and grab a boat and let them fill it up. Ive never been disappointed but honestly, it took me a few trips to appreciate all the consistency. Low key, consistent and delicious every time.

Very limited menu, not many choices without raw meat, but my biggest problem was the prices!! I've been to many sushi restaurants but this one was ridiculous with their prices. Their name should be Crazy Expensive Sushi. And I didn't not care for any of the rolls I got which are my go to when eating at a new sushi restaurant. I definitely will not be returning. But the service was pretty good. Vegetarian options: Very limited, not many at all.

Crazy Sushi has been out favorite sushi place for years. We hadn't been since before COVID. I was disappointed to find that they no longer have Cabbage Salad, which had always been what brought me there over other sushi restaurants. Amazing food, friendly staff and fair prices. It takes a bit for the sushi but very worth it! Not a ton of seating but a great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Always delicious sushi! This was our first visit since 2019. We're so glad Crazy Sushi has weathered the pandemic and they're still making outstanding food! We'll definitely be back soon!
