We value your contribution to our social media sites, including Facebook, and are always looking to improve as a ministry. We’ve put together some community guidelines to make everyone’s experience on our page a positive experience.
In order to cultivate good conversation, these guidelines are taken into account when making moderation decisions. On occasion, it is necessary to delete certain comments in order to maintain a positive experience for those who enjoy the ministry of the Creation Museum
The purpose of our Facebook pages is to communicate with you better about news, products, and services that our ministry provides. The goal of the ministry is to “support the church in fulfilling its commission.”
When commenting . . .
Do: Further the conversation by informing participants with positive and helpful ideas.
Don’t: Use vulgar language or tear down other community members. Please be respectful and considerate of those who may not share your exact point-of-view.
Do: Add value to the conversation by offering relevant personal experience.
Don’t: Link to personal blog posts, websites, or social media accounts that are irrelevant to the conversation. We reserve the right to delete any self-promoting comments, links, websites, etc.
While we realize the subject of biblical authority can be controversial, please refrain from debating on our Facebook pages. This is a moderated site and not a public forum.
Note: Please be aware that there is limited space for a staff member to go into detail in the page’s status update, so it can be easy for some people to read between the lines and see something that is simply not there and jump to wrong conclusions. In addition, we endeavor to remove all comments that go against the above policy. However, because such moderation is very time-consuming, it is possible that we will miss some argumentative postings that should be pulled.
