The work of the Creative Life Research Center is built upon these seven Creativity Principles:
Creativity is not exclusive to any one discipline or domain, but essential to all.
Creativity requires informal and formal curiosity--poking and prying with a purpose.
Creativity requires passion. Creative people share a passionate curiosity and engagement with some
dimension of life.
Creativity includes the vision necessary to identify new challenges and problems to solve.
Creativity requires Flow: concentration, engagement, and persistence in meeting complex challenges.
Creativity results from the interplay of people, places, processes, and domains, not just from "special" people
thinking outside the box.
Creativity requires action: convincing others that a new idea, product, service, or artistic expression improves the status quo.
Building lives of meaning through the processes, places, and products of creativity.
