Creek Hollow Ranch, Inc. is owned and operated by Colleen Burman. The dream began with the land purchase in 2000 and the desire to develop a premier equestrian facility serving horses and riders of all abilities and disciplines. Her mission statement, “The Love of the Horse Connects Us”, has guided her vision and continues to define its direction.
Although Colleen grew up with a love of horses and desire to ride, as a city girl, her passion was fulfilled only on summer vacations visiting family in Montana and occasional rented ponies at home. As an adult, she began taking intermittent lessons between school, jobs, kids and family obligations, to attempt to scratch a very persistent itch.
It wasn’t until her youngest child, Anna, was 5 and begged for riding lessons, that opened up the possibility for her lifelong desire to take hold. Through Anna’s increasing enthusiasm, came the opportunity for Colleen to witness and experience the powerful love that can come from the horse-human connection.
Her journey with horses had begun and the last 18 years has been quite a ride. With the help of many experienced equestrians, she has worked diligently to create a space for like-minded people to experience the wonders of the equine spirit.
Now a college graduate, Anna has moved to Bozeman, Montana and joined the working world. She continues to pursue her passion as an amateur and avid trail rider. Her enthusiasm has not waned and her passion for jumping stronger than ever. Colleen prefers classical dressage and trail riding, but struggles as a perpetual adult beginner plagued with too much office work and not enough time in the saddle.
The ranch is our gift to you. In return, we ask that you honor our equine partners and their ability to teach us about ourselves and respect each of our individual journeys.
